I would say he's been looking at it that way...except he's looking at it as if someone he cared about was the innocent person that got seriously injured, where you're not. If you read the Dispatch article you'll see that the father of the girl injured is an attorney, and I'm sure he has all his T's crossed and i's dotted. I'm sure he's done his homework to help make these charges stick and 11 months of investigation wasn't spent on circumstantial evidence. (I would hope)

It reminds me of a cross between the MR2-Mini (In profile), and an old Mail truck. http://www.mr2mk1club.com/MiniMR2_files/mini1.jpg http://www.film.queensu.ca/cj3b/Photos/Toys/Danbury/DanburyPostalSide.JPG

Probably because racing is defined as two cars, side-by-side, in an acceleration contest. In order to prove he was racing at the time of the accident they would need either witnesses or video. However, they could have evidence that he was there at the time, set up a race with George, etc. Probably establishing intent for racing, but it would be hard to prove they were in the act of it at the time.
-
The issue is, if you can only prosecute George because he was the one involved in the accident, then you're saying that the only crime committed was George losing control and hitting another car. But street racing is the action that resulted in the accident (allegedly), and that's a crime in itself. Only prosecuting George would be absolving everyone else of any wrong-doing, and that's not the case. Street racing was the act tht resulted in the accident (allegedly), and it takes more than one person to street race. My $0.02

Meh, it was brand new but heavily tested. (read: ragged on) It's a very common problem though. Bushings wear out, especially soft ones. The pics of the green one are interesting. You'd need to do some metal work to make a new hood and front fender, but it looks...interesting. The steering would have to be completely different for it to be worth driving.
-
It could be a number of things, but the main causes are poor alignment (easy fix), loose trackbar mounts, worn out steering stabilizer, and/or bad ball joints. Sometimes it only shows itself in certain driving situations. I was driving one for a while that was fine in most driving, but when I would do something aggressive on asphalt it would start vibrating and get worse with each oscillation until I brought the vehicle to a stop. That's when the shifter hit me in the leg. Again, these were very aggressive maneuvers, but I've seen and heard of it on a lot of cars, and it can come out of the blue. That's why I don't think it's a good platform for an asphalt drag racer. Sand, gravel, rock, mud...go for it.
-
He asked for opinions...so, no.
-
That video actually isn't that bad. I've experienced much worse. One time the shifter hit me in the leg because the drivetrain was vibrating so bad.

He's talking about taking it down the 1/4 mile and trying to run 11's in a Wrangler. He wants to lower it, put big wheels on it, put wide fenders on it, and try to make it a sports car. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Now if you're mud bogging, sand dragging, etc., go for it.
-
You've obviously never driven a jeep with "death wobble." Google it. A Wrangler is not a race car, not matter what wheels, tires, or engine you put in it. Buy a Lincoln LS and put an 03/04 Cobra motor in it.

Kenny will have sex with you.

Vehicle with "death wobble" = death

You sound dumber and with every post you make. The GM SIDI 2.0T Ecotec is far more advanced than this (and on par tech-wise with Audi's 2.0T, but GM gets more power and better torque). The Tau V8 is actually pretty advanced. There have already been quite a few articles on it There are differences between the Hyundai, Mitsu, and Chrysler blocks, but the basics are the same. It's compact, all aluminum, has provisions for DI in the future, can use dual cam phasors, and should prove to be pretty solid.

Not feelin it either. It might look kind of cool, but it would drive like shit, IMO.

Class of 2000 was better.

Apparently they don't have any at the distribution center and are on backorder. Part of the problem is the 1-800 numbers they have route you to India and those people can only look at their computer screen and say "Yup, I have you on the schedule." It takes wayyy too long to get a straight answer.
-
If you consider ~$500 "a few dollars," then yes. My washer was dying anyway, so at least I thought I was getting a washer and dryer combo for the price of the washer alone.
-
So I stood in line for an hour before the store opened, the doors opened and I was the second person in line for the Kenmore washer and dryer that was 50% off. Because I was so early, I was able to get delivery scheduled for the following Monday, December 1st. The morning of December 1st I get a phone call from Sears...they're cancelling delivery and will can in 24-48 hours to reschedule. They never call. I call on Thursday, Dec 4th and the person in India says they put me down for Friday the 5th and I would receive a call between 6 and 9pm telling me what time they will deliver. That call never comes. I call Friday morning and the person tells me I am not scheduled and the earliest they can schedule me is Feb 27, 2009. (Keep in mind that the people buying this at 11am on Black Friday were given Feb delivery dates...sounds like I was put to the back of the line??) This person went on to tell me that I would need to call the store directly is Feb was unacceptable. I spent all of my work day Friday calling the store and getting transferred around with no answers. I talked to 9 or 10 people who all transferred me to either an answering machine or a phone that nobody ever answers. Someone finally said they were marking it urgent and having their supervisor hunt down the appliance supervisor and having them call me ASAP. That phone call never came. (Before this I had also left 2 messages on an answering machine that said I would receive a call back within an hour...) So Friday night I go back to the store. The guy says they're having a hard time getting everyone scheduled and he gives me a special number that's not normally given to customers. The guy schedules me for delivery on Sunday, December 7th and says I will receive a call between 6 and 9 pm telling me what time they will show up. THAT CALL NEVER COMES EITHER! I call them back Saturday night and they tell me to call back on Sunday. I wake up Sunday and call the number, find out that I was scheduled for December 7th, except I would be waiting until 2009. After sitting on hold for 30-45 minutes I am told to call the store. Five minutes later another lady calls me back and says she can get me in on Tuesday, December 9th, 2008. This morning I receive a call from Sears. They're cancelling. Again. All the washers and dryers come through a distribution center in Columbus and supposedly they are out of stock. The earliest date they are expecting them is February 2009! HOW THE HELL CAN YOU SELL A DOORBUSTER ITEM THAT YOU DON'T HAVE IN STOCK!? Of course they'll give you 50% off when they can hold your money for 3 months. Maybe someone here works at the distribution center and can give me a straight answer.

Is that the 2008 Ram or the 2009? The 2009's are sweet.
-
Probably some sort of Orb Weaver
-
Congress asked them during the previous hearings if they would be willing to do that (because one of them already did). This was in response to that.
-
I got a washer and dryer from Sears. Front loaders, high efficiency. $599 for the pair, which is about 50% off.

Nice! Good luck.

GM Said to Study Shedding Saab, Saturn, Pontiac to Win U.S. Aid
Mallard replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Passing Lane
They've been doing it for years by combining Buick-GMC-Pontiac dealerships, but it's not the easiest thing to do because of the franchise owners. It costs a lot of money and doesn't happen over night. -
GM Said to Study Shedding Saab, Saturn, Pontiac to Win U.S. Aid

The simple answer here is: China. Buick will never be killed in China, and in an effort to globalize all their brands, you will not see Buick killed here. But Saab NEEDS to be a VW/low-market Audi competitor. They offer good handling sport sedans with small displacement turbo engines and the option of FWD or AWD with and 'entry level luxury' interior trimmings and features. So you're sying a 9-3 can't compete with a Jetta? Puh-lease. Agreed. It needed to be a Jeep competitor, but the H2 ruined their street-cred with the green movement, while Jeep seems to have a huge following with those people (for some reason). They seem to love Wranglers, but most don't even know or care what an H3 is. Chevy - economical, well trimmed out FWD transportation. Like a Toyota. Pontiac - entry level sports cars/sedans. RWD, nimble handling...an entry level American BMW. Caddy - Follows the Pontiac strategy, but with a Mercedes-like luxury flair. That's at least how I see it, and that's just how GM has been trying to make it for the last few years...it just takes a long time to change product at a car company.
