  1. Building a RetroPie for the wife, anyone have any good links to places I can download some ROM's? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  2. People buy a GTR for a different reason than they would buy an AWD Hellcat. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  3. My comment is in regards to making a Jeep SRT drivetrain fit in a Charger with a Hellcat. OEM validation of components is different than aftermarket tuners. The percentage of total sales were small, at least I'm told. Apparently it doesn't package with the 8 speed and the Hemi, because the police package has it, but that still gets the 5 speed. I love the B5 Blue on both the Charger and Challenger. The Durango SEMA SUV looked pretty good too. Not available with AWD and Hemi after the 2015 updates. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  4. You have no idea how big that transfer case would be, and there's no way it would package into a Charger/Challenger. Before 2015 you could buy a Hemi with AWD, but it wasn't a hot seller. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  5. Where are you going to find a sub $5k Odyssey that's worth a damn? Used car prices are high right now. The Pacifica is a really nice van, many have said the best on the market right now. Talk trash about reliability all you want, but there's a lot of that that comes down to regular maintenance. There are plenty of Dodge/Chrysler minivans with over 200k miles. The PHEV should be hitting dealers. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  6. Looks like another red CSX behind it. Are these for sale or for show? Earlier this year a few brand new, "zero mile," CSX's were brought out of storage and sold. The white one has a slightly different body kit though. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  7. We actually liked the Big Island better than Oahu because it's quieter and has a lot of variety. We're going to Maui in Feb, and it's actually cheaper than the Caribbean. Do a helicopter tour wherever you go. Everyone else had good suggestions. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  8. You don't know how good you have it right now. CAN is easily accessible, easily reverse engineered, and easily spoofed. Current architectures are highly distributed, which makes it easy to replace or hack a module. With cars becoming more connected this poses a problem, so cybersecurity measures are being implemented, and communication protocols are changing. Also, some manufacturers are already starting to consolidate modules into master domain controllers. I do think that there will still be aftermarket companies that can offer support, just as many people thought the GTR would be too complex. Many things are produced to published standards. Combine that with time and ingenuity and you'll get somewhere. Tesla battery packs are easy, and much of that is already reverse engineered (check out EVTV). Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  9. Yea, I was telling the wife we should get one because of all the crazys around here. She said it was a waste of money. A few weeks later some guy road raged on her and intentionally rammed her. More proof I should never listen to her. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  10. +1, but given the conversation I not sure it's in the budget to wait longer and buy something brand new @ $70k, or whatever a Trackhawk will cost. The SRT's hold their value really well too, so it's hard to find a good deal on a used one until it's beat up. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  11. They are just the most vocal. http://www.wxyz.com/news/exclusive-poll-democrat-hillary-clinton-opens-up-double-digit-michigan-lead-on-gops-donald-trump Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  12. There are kits to fit a hitch to the SRT. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  13. I have eaten at Mudgies and it was decent, but surrounded by blight, like most pockets in Detroit. It's getting better, but you have to realize that Boston, San Francisco, and Manhattan would all fit inside Detroit city limits (139 Sq miles) with room to spare, yet Detroit only has about 850k people. Birmingham is high dollar. Nice place to visit, to expensive to live. Lots of people down there have a sense of entitlement and are rude to others. Northville and Plymouth are quieter places to live, more affordable. Nice suburbs with lots of park space and small downtown areas. Dearborn has the largest middle eastern population in the US. If you strayed north to Southfield you would run into a pocket of orthodox Jews. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  14. Really? In the video it looks like you're on the racing line and he continues to track out into the side of you, after you completed the pass. Glad to see the Solstice still competing. Better luck next year. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  15. Nice choice, these were a heck of a lot of fun. When they came out I saw a friend of mine at the bar which works at GM. He was talking non-stop about how awesome the TBSS was, so I walked him out to the SRT I had for the night and took him around the block. He shut up after that. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  16. Not knowing exactly what area she's working in, if it were me I would be looking around I275 and I94, like Plymouth, Northville, Canton, etc. From that area you could get to the city on I94, or shoot down 275 to Ohio. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  17. Like downriver, or Flat Rock? Personally, I wouldn't want to live on the south side of Detroit, since it's more industrial, more pollution, not as nice IMHO. But I don't know what decent pockets exist. What part of Detroit is she going to be working? Downtown? Suburbs? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  18. Also depends on where you are. Luckily, my commute is pretty smooth, but I75 just started a 7 year widening/repaving project through Troy. It's a disaster right now. Housing really isn't any cheaper up here, unless you want to live in the hood. If you head far enough north you can get a decent chunk of land though. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  19. What part of "Detroit?" There are plenty of nice places to live in the area. Hell, Oakland Co is the 24th richest county in the nation. I work in Auburn Hills (Chrysler HQ) and have lived in Rochester Hills, Macomb Twp, Washington Twp, and Shelby Twp (all NE side) but have friends all over. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  20. I'd rather have this. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bede_BD-5 Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  21. Looks similar to the engines that skydiver had on his wing a few years ago... http://www.jetman.com Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  22. There was a study within the last year that claimed DI soot could be a major health risk, due to the particulates being even finer than diesel, so they embed themselves in your lungs. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  23. But you never (or rarely) stand out in the fucking cold of winter pumping gas. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  24. Honestly, if you're looking forward to the Bolt, there's no reason you shouldn't have been looking at the Spark EV, 500e, etc. I've seen a few Bolts on the road and they are really narrow, but tall so the interior space should be decent. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  25. My wife's commute was about 9 miles one way and we only used gas in the winter time, however, if you fully deplete the battery there's a chance that it won't be fully charged by the next morning on 110V. On the weekends we did many short trips and the 220V really helped us get the most out of it. Run an errand, plug it in, and it's fully charged 2 hours later when you go again. With a 110V you won't get much. A friend of mine works for Honda now and says you have a pretty good lease program. Good luck with the new Civic. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
