My long-term automotive play is MBLY. Typically, the OEM's carry smaller profit margins than suppliers, auto sales are at a peak right now (and will retract), and are incredibly vulnerable to market swings. IMO, the supply base is a better play, since they are diversified across OEM's and markets and there are segments that will grow even if overall sales retract.
Does anyone have experience with Harbour Freight compressors? I got this in the mail today and have been a considering a compressor for the garage. I don't do a lot of work, so it won't get heavy use. Is this worth it, or should I look elsewhere?

Every major manufacturer has some type of warranty issue. As far as I know, FCA has stood behind and fixed every engine that had issues. The Pentastar is a decent engine, despite some issues when it was first introduced.
For over a year and a half we could open the garage from up the street, then one day the range drops to zero. I can sit with the bumper almost touching the door and it won't open. Even with the wireless key pad on the door frame it will only open 50% of the time. Same results with both Homelink in the car and the remote that came with the opener.
This weekend I shut everything off at the breaker (except the garage) to see if it's interference coming from inside the house. No change. So either the antenna took a dump or something at a neighbors house is causing interference.
Others say that the frequency is shared with Homeland Security and if you live within 50 miles of a military base you may have issues. I'm not that far from Selfridge AFB, so maybe something changed after the first of the year. Ugh.
Mine is 2 years old and started doing the same thing about 2 weeks ago. Used to be able to open it from up the street, but now I can park in front of the door and it won't open for a while. It's driving me nuts, but I found some forums talking about electrical interference causing issues on this frequency. Everything from appliances, LED bulbs, clock radios, and fans have been mentioned. It could even be something at a neighbors house.
This weekend I am shutting down everything in my house except the garage to try and track down if it's in the house.
Lol, not even close. The new Pacifica is an all new platform and not a CUV. The old Pacifica had no relation to the R class either.
The reasons it's called "Pacifica" is because there was a plan to continue making the old van for some period of time. You can't have two Town and Country's in the same showroom. They also wanted a new image because they felt this was such a departure from the traditional van.
Middle East gets a 6.4 300.
I have this one and have been happy with it, although I have additional space and other storage in the garage. Without the other cabinets it would have been better to have more drawers at the bottom, but I got a good deal on it too.

Looks good! I have ever some of the Gladiator stuff, as we find good deals, but still working on getting everything organized. The past few weeks I added their workbench and two 30" upper cabinets. I think they may have had the wrong price online because the day after I bought it the price went up a bunch. Nice stuff but can be pricey.
Costco is better.
I prefer the items Costco sells when compared to Sam's. They are higher quality, carry a lot of gluten free foods (wife can't eat it) and generally have a better selection. We do have memberships to both and still go to Sam's for some things.
I absolutely cannot stand 99% of the garbage that Máté posts. I went back and forth with him a while ago about something. I don't really care for Doug's posts either, but that's because I don't like the way he writes and don't find him funny, not because I disagree with what he says.
I've met quite a few of the jalopnik writers before and had a good impression of most. Neither of these guys were around at the time.
I've actually said this to coworkers months ago, that I believe traditional gas and diesel will be outlawed relatively soon, at least in CA and the states that follow CARB's rules. However, this does not mean all gasoline and diesel will be outlawed, just fossil fuels. Gas and diesel that is 'carbon neutral' would be allowed and legislation will be the method of forcing the infrastructure to change over. For my definition of 'carbon neutral fuel' you could refer to what Audi has done with e-gas/green diesel/syngas or any biofuel.
