  1. Some info on the blower was posted on another forum. Not sure how accurate, but they did say in the release that it's an IHI and not a TVS. "It is a twin screw, so a Lysohlm style... similar to a Whipple, Kenne Bell, or SMS. The big difference is that it uses a front inlet instead of a rear inlet."
  2. According to the 5 year plan, the Charger will get it, but the SRT 300 is dead.
  3. Yea, and Chevy made a huge deal out of the "Flow-tie" on the Z/28. I'm sure it will only be a couple months before someone buys an extra headlamp for the other side and mounts twin turbo's up front.
  4. You can still get the 6.4L, up 10 HP to 485 now.
  5. Hoping that's sarcasm... CTS-V coupe and sedan are both over 4200 lbs.
  6. Sad to see but hopefully they get everything straightened out. Not sure if everyone knows this, but all SRT's do a 24 hour endurance test at Nelson before released for production. It would be sad to see it closed for good.
  7. They say the auto can shift gears in less than 250 milliseconds. Like the new Z06, the auto may be a bit faster than the manual, in a straight line. I can't wait for them to release some official times for this thing.
  8. Different front facia with additional air intakes for cooling, different front grill, different front splitter, headlight is the cold air intake, Hellcat gets the vented hood, unique wheels/brakes, bigger rear spoiler. 1500?! You want it to weight as much as a BRZ? Not sure how much the S/C adds, but the previous 392 SRT was about the same weight as a ZL1. The new interior is awesome though, and the Hellcat exhaust sounds amazing. It's definitely a grand touring car, or more true to the Muscle Car DNA; a large, comfortable sedan with a lot of HP.
  9. Full press release below. Lots of different modes to configure. Red key for all the HP, black key for less, valet mode with 4 digit pin keeps people from hooning your car.
  10. http://www.drivesrt.com/2015/challenger-srt-hellcat/ The most powerful V8 in Chrysler history. Yes please. Still no official HP figures. http://autoblog.com/2014/05/20/2015-dodge-challenger-srt-hellcat-official/?post=1&icid=autoblog_river_article
  11. Apparently legal with a doctor's note.
  12. No idea but it would probably come down to personal preference at that point. If it came down to those two I would probably pick a blue RS7 with a reflash. With a Panamara I would probably just play with my rear spoiler in my driveway.
  13. My friend just did this. He went to med school and enlisted in the Navy. They paid for all his schooling and a living stipend in exchange for 4 years of service (partially his residency). During his service he works on a Naval base and still gets paid a doctor's salary while all those years are counted towards his military retirement pension. Not a bad deal. Totally agree.
  14. Looks good, but not sure if it beats an RS7 or Porsche Panamara.
  15. I expect the next V will step its game up, or else it will be losing. It had better come with the same LT4 as the Z06, in which case it should be over that mark from the factory.
  16. Do you like the look of the 2015 Dodge Charger? http://www.mlive.com/auto/index.ssf/2014/04/photos_2015_dodge_challenger_c.html According to the five year plan released a few weeks ago, there will be a supercharged V8 SRT version, using the Hellcat, which is rumored to be anywhere from 640-700 HP. 1- won't be cheap 2 - sedan 3 - dashboard is curved around driver (a little). No wood. 4 - lots of doodads/screens to play with inside - the cluster is a configurable display and UConnect is an 8.4 inch touchscreen interface. 5 - Beats by Dre sound 6 - warranty 7 - rumored 640 to 700 HP 8 - may be commuter 9 - auto 10 - RWD w tits stability control
  17. Student loans also don't go away if you declare bankruptcy. Pay them off ASAP because they aren't going anywhere.
  18. How much did it cost?
  19. Taking the top down is easy, putting it up takes an extra step for walking around the car. However, you cannot put the top up or down while driving, where I know you can in the Miata. This is all because the top stows in the trunk instead of behind the seats.
  20. It's pearl white. That's one of the cars we had at work.
  21. There were 3 at work, 2 launch editions and one vert. I was told 55k for one and 70k for the other. I assumed he was pointing at the vert but I could have been wrong.
  22. I immediately texted my wife and got denied. She told me to start donating plasma. I guess that's a start.
  23. Just saw 3 of them at work, including the targa/vert that was at Geneva. All had the new headlights and looked amazing. Much of the tub was left as clear coated carbon fiber and not covered with trim or carpet. It has more luggage space than my Sky had. So much want right now!
  24. As Miller said, it depends on how it's adjusted, but I also found it depends on the door position. I had closed my hood with the door all the way open, but it seems some people had damage if they did it with the door partially open. It happened to one at my work too. It wasn't pretty and that hood can't be cheap.
