  1. They passed at least 2 left turn lanes during the video which tells me that she didn't have to move right, plus she did pass other traffic. Personally, I've thought about recording people road raging simply because I want evidence in case things get ugly. Just two weeks ago my pregnant wife waved 2 people from a side street out in front of her in traffic, then pulled up because everyone started moving again. So the next guy in line on the side street pulls out next to her, rolls his window down, starts yelling names at her and tells her, "get out of the car so he can beat the shit out of you." It didn't escalate past there, but I'd want that all recorded in case it did.
  2. Everyone will be happy to know that the headlights shown on the spyder are supposedly optional for all 4C's.
  3. The most up to date hardware has some additional pieces attached to the hydraulic block. I have a pic of one on my phone but will have to upload to photobucket in order to post here. Watch this space for an edit or PM me a phone number and I'll text it to you. Edit: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h92/mallard1055/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_3655.jpg
  4. Be aware that if you find a 14 with the Advanced Technology Package that there was a change partway through the model year that allows ACC to brake to a full stop (and auto resume within 3 seconds) while the earlier cars will disengage around 10-15 mph. You can tell the difference if you pop the hood and look at the brake module.

    Missing Plane

Even if someone possibly survived the impact, they would have been floating at sea for weeks with no food or water. They're dead.
  6. Probably because he's a 23 year old with a short credit history that's buying a $35-45k car (depending on options). Nice pick up, OP. I like the look of the 14's and the 1LE seems like a good choice. I drove a 14 SS a few weeks ago and was impressed.
  7. The base price is higher on the SL-C, but ask anyone who has built a Factory Five GTM and they will tell you about all the extra parts, sanding, trimming, and fiberglass work they have had to do that drove the price up to equal or higher than the SL-C. The SL-C has none of those issues, a lot of guys don't even paint the body (just leave the gel coat), and it's been proven on the race track. Troll the SL-C forum and you'll find multiple people that abandoned FF due to build issues and have nothing but good things to say about the SL-C. All of them say the FF cost them more in the long run and the SL-C was better quality. I hope the 818 is a better experience than I've seen from those guys.
  8. Still not sure why anyone would spend the money to build this over an SL-C. The proportions just seem off and I've read a lot of nightmare stories from people that were building them.
  9. Yeah, I loaded another one up with engine block heater, spare tire, NAV, and anything else I could find and it finally got up over 25k. You could probably get a decent deal on it too, since it's been a slow seller. Honestly, it offers the most features for the price than any other car in it's class. It blows the Cruze out of the water, but the Cruze will get better MPG. There was just a review on TTAC for the new Chrysler 200 where they blasted all the competitor's infotainment interface compared to the UConnect. (Accord was called stone age in comparison) I've never driven one, so I can't comment on the dynamics.
  10. I'm curious what took it up to 26k? Is this before any incentives? I'm pretty sure I fully loaded a GT online and it was 23,700, but that included $1500 cash back.
  11. Pretty sure this Dart comes with all that (minus Lane Watch, which is kind of gimmicky and useless IMO anyway) as well as remote start, heated seats, leather seats, per driver seat, 8.4" touch screen, SAT/NAV, iPod integration, 1 year of free Sirius, and probably more things I'm forgetting. Have you seen any reviews of the Dart? One of the criticisms has been that they included too much content for a car in this class, including overdoing the NVH isolation.
  12. It think you are referring to the 1.4 turbo, but I think he's looking at a 2.4L GT, which also has a retuned suspension. I have to agree that for the money (comparing new car MSRP's) the Dart offers a lot of features and a nicer interior than the competetion. I haven't driven one but I have sat in and played with a few. The UConnect is routinely reviewed as the best infotainment interface in the industry and there are apps being released. I say buy what you think fits your needs best. It's not fast but gets decent mileage and offers a lot of features. If I were buying a Dart I would probably try for a 1.4T manual, but in '14 you can only get this in the Aero, so the 2.4L with GT suspension would probably happen by default.

    Missing Plane

Or there's the simple answer, though not sure it explains turning north. http://www.wired.com/autopia/2014/03/mh370-electrical-fire/

    Missing Plane

True, although flying at lower altitude will increase fuel consumption, but it would still be a gross miscalculation on his part. I considered this a possibility because he had just watched his friend get sent to jail over allegedly being gay and maybe he thought they would be coming for him so he would seek shelter in a liberal nation. I still think this is unlikely because usually when a pilot seeks asylum they don't go through all the trouble of avoiding radar, but I don't know why else he would take the southern route. If it was suicide there's no need to keep the plane in the air for 7+ hours. That is interesting and something I had seen mentioned in other articles, though not in this much depth. This seems pretty likely in my head, due to the amount of planning involved.

    Missing Plane

If the company wanted to kill them for this patent, they would have done so after it was filed, not waited for approval. Plus Freescale is already the assignee of the patent, these folks are just listed as inventors. Based on what I see in my industry (and my wife's ~6+ patents) Freescale would have nothing to gain by killing them, as they probably just earn a flat fee as a bonus.

    Missing Plane

"System for optimizing number of dies produced on a wafer" US 8671381 B1 Filed in Dec 2012, published March 11, 2014. See my edit above though. Freescale owns the patent, I seriously doubt these guys saw more than $1000 pat on the back, and they weren't going to get royalties (most likely) Since they are Freescale employees.

    Missing Plane

There were something like 16 Freescale employees on that plane. Also, not sure how Freescale does it, but a lot of companies pay patent holders a flat fee and you never receive royalties.

    Missing Plane

It was also said that the plane could have been flying on autopilot, turning at preprogrammed GPS points, and it would take an experienced pilot to do this. So the question is: was the pilot at the helm the whole time, or did he program the autopilot and either kill himself or leave the cockpit. Or maybe he was trying to fly towards Australia in order to seek asylum, but ran out of fuel. My final theory is that he flew the plane low to avoid radar and the plane is on the ground somewhere being outfitted for a more sinister plan. But this is looking like less and less of a possibility, given the highly conflicted air space he would have to fly through.
  19. I agree, it's total BS especially when they're trying to derive new calibration offsets for each sensor during the race weekend. This is also one way Red Bull could prove that the fuel flow sensor was faulty, by showing how much fuel was actually left at the end of the race. Either way, they may still be screwed because they defied a direct order from the FIA on only one of their cars while choosing to play it safe with Vettel.

    Missing Plane

The most suspicious thing to me is that this took a lot of planning, yet no one's taken credit yet. Typically, when planes blow up, crash, or disappear there are countless terrorist groups that claim responsibility, even when they had nothing to do with it. But so far it's been total silence. Either the pilot acted alone and performed an elaborate suicide by flying until running out of fuel, or it landed somewhere. If a terrorist group hijacked the plane and ditched it in the ocean they would have claimed responsibility by now.
  21. I totally agree with Jones. Smh
  22. I had one on my Mazda and it worked like a charm. I was always worried that they could try to charge you with obstruction of justice, but never had an issue
  23. Might as well give Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to Mexico then. Maybe even break the bottom off California while we're at it.
