  1. F1 cars are by far the most impressive performance race cars on the planet, for the simple fact that they do everything well and are reliable. Top Fuel cars are impressive too, but the engineering that goes into an F1 car is light years ahead. Top Fuel may as well be a spec series. I almost posted the Delta Wing last night, so I'm glad to see someone else already did.
  2. They said they will drop the Shelby name on the next Cobra.
  3. I have always wanted an LS swapped RX8, and this one is perfect! http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8389/8548477953_30af67d757_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8369/8548477843_70cd4564a1_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8093/8549575908_a5708f4411_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8102/8549281487_353445f231_b.jpg
  4. Very sad. They said the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the neck, and if you're saying the HANS and seat are broken, I'm assuming something flew off the car and hit him during the accident.
  5. Now you can get them in a waffle cone too, but you don't get as much. Man, I love Frosty's. Any one know where to get one of those frosty cards?
  6. This vehicle is probably being used by the powertrain team. Everyone does that to the exhaust tips so they can easily connect/disconnect them them when they are on a dyno. Also, the fuel drain is a giveaway.
  7. Could be for a 5th wheel, or some other measurement equipment.
  8. Lots of test vehicles will have a hitch.
  9. I wouldn't base the fact that it shares a platform with the Dart as a reason that it's an off-road poser. The Trailhawk has a lot of capability and that was important to them when reusing the Cherokee name. There are plenty of unibody SUV's that are good offroaders, the Isuzu VehiCross comes to mind.
  10. For reference: http://www.jeep.com/en/2014/cherokee/photos_and_videos/#filter=all
  11. While I do love the new GC, this wasn't really meant as a 'what should I buy' thread, but more to see if the price, capabilities and features would cause some people to overlook the controversial styling. I would copy/paste the standard feature list, but I'm on my phone.
  12. CVT?? It's a 9 speed auto. The Patriot/Compass had a CVT until the latest model year. The Trailhawk is no soft-roader. I get a pretty decent discount, but it depends on the car as to how much of a percent that is.
  13. So there has been a lot of internet hate over the new Cherokee design, and I still think most of that hate comes from using "Cherokee" instead of calling it something else. However, forgetting all the hate, prices were announced yesterday and I'm wondering if that changes anyone's opinion. Starting at 23k for a base model and going up to just under 30k for a Trailhawk 4x4. The V6 is optional. Would a well equipped Trailhawk or Limited 4x4 (if you're not into off-roading as much as leather/heated seats and steering wheel/ etc) for 30k sway your opinion?
  14. Stock GTR drivetrain but significantly lighter. I don't really like the look of the Juke but I can't stop talking about the JewCar.
  15. So you just bought a BMW and now you get a promotion? Sounds like a winning formula.
  16. Sure the semi truck sized tow truck wasn't dwiggs's baller mobile?
  17. OK, maybe I should re-phrase the question...
  18. LOLing at people saying she should have stopped when she hit the truck, like then everyone would exchange information and wait for the cops so they could file a report. IIRC, she's got no issues driving away, but she would have to report it to the police within 24 hours.
  19. Again, IMO, the 2011+ Chrysler interior is nicer than the VW Routan, and I would have said that before I started working there.
  20. According to the articles I found online, the cylinder head issue is only estimated to be present in 0.5% of all 3.6L engines on the road, and only comes about under specific conditions of using low quality gas, high temperature, and hard driving. Nevertheless, it sounds like Chrysler made a design change and is replacing the parts under warranty. Nothing to worry about IMO. You can use Google to find issues with any car, just like the Ford EcoBoost issue that came up last week, but seems to be effecting a lot more case than this cylinder head issue.
  21. How, exactly, are they wasting cylinder heads and on what engine? Seems like that would be a costly warranty fix that would be addressed rather quickly. The Journey came with the 2.4L (all years), 3.5L (pre-2011), and the 3.6L (2011+).
  22. Well the government has actually been in this building. Maybe they verified it. It's advertised at 5.3 million square feet.
