It all depends on the application. The Mazda pumps are small (like the Audi/VW) and you have to upgrade for something stupid like a DP. On the flip side, a stock GM Ecotec with a turbo swap and reflash can push 450 HP. Not sure what the Ford is capable of.
Went to shelter cold and hungry, starved on the street because deer "aren't approved to be distributed commercially."
Since when does a homeless shelter count as commercial distribution?
Not exactly. There is an automotive safety standard out there called ISO26262 which requires all systems to transition into a "safe state" when there is a failure. The "safe state" is defined by not only what could be hazardous to the occupants of the vehicle, but also any hazard to the people around the vehicle. I can almost guarantee you that if this system fails it would drop to low beams and appear no different than any other car on the road today.
And actually, this is exactly how most high beams work today, minus the extra shield that conceals the vehicle in front. Most new cars do not have high and low beams. They have one bulb in a projector that has a 'shield' (not sure of the technical term you'd want to use) on the top side that limits the height of the projected light. That's why projector beams have a very crisp line across the top. When you activate "high beams" a motor moves the 'shields' out of the way. If you stand next to a Caddy ATS of Chevy Volt you can hear them move when you toggle the stalk (and probably a lot of other cars too, but those at the two I've seen for myself).
This is nothing new, but it seems to be proliferating the last few weeks. The Opel Insignia has had a similar system in Europe for a few years now. The headlight has something like 8 or 9 different configurations. The most recent development has been adding the vehicle tracking information from the forward camera or radar in order to continue to black out a certain region. The problem with the US is NHTSA regulations don't account for them and are currently illegal.
The best part is the shot of him in the back of his creeper van.
Also, this guys machine is total crap. We all know the best thing about separating Oreo's is EATING THE CREAM FILLING! I don't want the cookie halves, I want to take as many Double Stuf's apart, separate the cream, and see how high of a cookie I can build. As a child I would do this manually and could easily manage Sextuple Stuf's. This guy is weak.
Hhonors passes me off with their constant devaluing of points. Sure, you can get a cheap, crappy room for free in a city you don't want to stay in, but to me the goal of earning points is to take a very nice vacation for cheap. The new HHonors policy prevents that from happening. I went to Moorea and stayed in an OWB for 8 nights for 256k points and ~$800. Now you're talking a million points for the same thing.
I don't want people to know I'm a goat-fucker, so I would try another door, knowing that the host would give me the other goat. I would then look disappointed in front of the crowd, then go home and fuck the goat.
Well, the government wants higher fleet MPG, which the industry has attacked by going to hybrids. However, anything can be used to store energy, whether it's compressed air, springs, flywheels, a battery, hydraulic accumulators, etc.

Go down to Update 11 and watch the fan vid from the stands. WOW. It's crazy how fast everything happened. Hopefully everyone pulls through.
If you are buying a car based on how easy it is to reach your food when going through a drive through, you eat too much fast food.
People don't mod Maxima's because it's a waste of money to mod a platform like that. Fix it and drive it in to the ground if you like it that much.
