  1. I work for a wireless provider for the past 17 years and like what I am doing for my fulltime opportunity. I have a good staff that I work with and enjoy my executive staff.

In my spare time, I would repair/restore corvettes and that was put on the back shelf for the past few years due to the kids high school activities. Since the kids are in college, my rental property hobby/business picked up and cattle farm(up to 4, with 2 calves soon), so that is taking up my spare time presently.

  2. We have a 97 Volvo 850 bought it new and it lasted up to 225k miles. I still have the car and the body and paint are in great shape, it needs a replacement engine. I don't want to farm that out due to cost, so it we get replaced sometime in the future. We loved the car and not willing to sell for scrape pricing. Since then we bought a BMW as the family hauler.

Call European Auto Works over by OSU(Kenny Road area), they are a independent shop that work on Volvos only. I trusted them and would talk to if you any specific questions/etc.

  3. I would love to be a fly on the wall in one of Cordell's training sessions:

    - Corporate trainers that are thrice-removed from the actual product engineers that designed/manufactured the parts...watched over by managers that are forced to know a product only through confidential corporate documents.

    - Required classes filled with ASE Master Techs who maybe have faith in 50-75% of the components they are trained to service.

    - Side-jabber about new technology being introduced to an unprepared market.

    - Feedback from said ASE Master Techs to said Corporate Trainers about ways to improve the product.....after it's already being rolled out.

    - Jaded people drinking themselves to sleep before moving on to the next region.

I listen to Cordell with great respect for his experience. When an all-new product comes out and he's already complaining, it gives me pause and helps me appreciate the LS-engine and Ford's EcoBoost lineups a little more.

If you're talking about me, hey...hope springs eternal. I didn't put a reservation deposit towards that schyster!

What can I say? I'm a fan of new technology not as a bleeding-edge innovator, but someone that appreciates watching an idea come through the process all the way to a finished good for the consumer to buy...and maybe buy second- third- or fourth-hand years down the road at a discount.:D

Bingo, GM doesn't listen to what people want and the support staff.

I just about hate all of the SUV that are made, they are car based crossed over crap.... I do like the real SUVs that were based on truck frames/etc, and can actually can a pull a trailer/etc.

  4. I wish tint was not so damn expensive to do, I was quoted over $500 to do my bmw with ceramic tint and said screw that noise

I got our bimmer(535) done for around $350 at Pickup Trucks Plus over in Lewis Center. Yes, it has the ceramic tint. They also tinted my Duramax and it was less(I think metallic tint was used).
