  1. Any small Chevy block will do fine, I would stay with the automatic though. Get a turbo 350, put a shift kit in it, and you will be barking the tires between first and second. If swapping to manual, I would use a muncie, To swap trannies will require more work, such as the clutch, bell housing, flywheel, pedals. If you dont buy the car, let me know I am interested.
  2. This is the inline 6 cylinder.
  3. Looks nice. You are a little further ahead of me. I still need to hang my rear quarters. I just finished re-doing the windsheild frame on the vette. This took longer than what I expected. Since the vette is back to together, now is it Z28 time. HINT, You can get the historical license plate for your car. This will save a lot of$$ on plates and insurance.
  4. I would buy a Featherlite 3110. That is what I have. I am not bias, but it is the 'best' open car hauler you can buy. It will never rust. Sure it costs more than $1500s but it is a light weight trailer. It weights under 2000 lbs. It can be pulled by a V6 S-10 truck. What ever you get, you got to have electric brakes on the trailer. I think there was a used Featherlite 3100 in the Columbus Dispatch last week for ~$3500.

*************************************** *************************************** To ALL be careful and smart as you ride *************************************** My family and I am going through some tough times. The motorcyclist that died was my wife's cousin Trent. It is such a shame to make some bad decisions and put others into such pain. Trent was one of a nice and hard working guy, but made a mistake that that no-one can take back. FYI, Trent was 31 years old and been riding bikes for over 10 years and is from Westerville. Trent graduated from Westerville South in '93. **************************************** Be careful and smart **************************************** -Rick
  6. I can’t picture how anyone can go that fast on a bike. I have been up to 135 on my Interceptor years ago and will not do that ever again. I was young and naive (26). I was tucked down in fairing, but still felt like I was going to be pulled off the bike from the wind. Be careful and don’t do anything any stupid, you will not get a second chance. Later, Rick
  7. I live between Westerville and New Albany, Galena area(Delaware county). It is a nice area.
  8. I bought my brake lines for the Z-28 from them and their lines are top notch and they are located here in Central Ohio(Sunbury). The owner is a nice guy and I would buy from him again. They do brake and fuel lines.
  9. Anyone going? I will be there on Saturday with some buds. graemlins/bubbrubb.gif
  10. I have been distracted, but I am getting back into it. I just got the other car(father inlaw's 87 vette) I have been storing in the barn out and now I have some room for the Z-28. I should have the Z28 out in the next few weeks. It is not much to look at, but what the hell it is a Z28. I still need to hang the rear quarters. I am go to Springfield this weekend to sell some other cars and hopefully a 2 post lift. How is your coming? -Rick
  11. No, Just wanted to check the windshield frame for rust. The only way to do this is to remove the windshield. This is usually a bad area for rust on vettes. I was lucky and didnt have too much to fix. I should have the car back on the road within the next couple of weeks. -Rick
  12. Pictures, I am interested, pm sent.

  14. Those Superbirds/Daytona rule. To me those are some of the most incredible pimp'd factory stock cars built. I know a fellow on the west side out of Columbus that owns two of them. The nice one cost him over 100K fifteen years ago.
  15. I had to take my vette over to my father's the other day, so here is a picture of it on the car trailer. I pulled the windshield out to repaint the inter frame. http://img55.photobucket.com/albums/v167/RAS69/P5130001.jpg

  17. Things, dont change? Here we are later in life, still borrowing mom's car. smile.gif Sounds good, see you soon. -Rick
  18. I have seen it too going home from work. I dont understand why some people do that? I rather bolt on a new exhaust or do something to improve performance, not to decrease performance. Different strokes for different folks.
