Body work and what not would get done over time. woo.

  7. power i care not about, this car is just to get me back and forth to work and i've already spent way more for this little endevour then i wanted to. Looking back now I could of easily put this money into just getting my rx-7 back to stock form, but whatever. Anyways everything else about the car is ok except it needs a new head now graemlins/nonono.gif so if someone could PLEASE Get a hold of Shief for me that would be really fucking great. Thanks again.
  8. general theme here: you could toss a small n2o shot on it, but out side of that and your bpu's, it's not really worth upgrading much at all. The car is still really heavy even with the fwd version. PIck up some strut braces or something of the affect along with springs for handling, you know just the basic stuff but just keep it the way it is outside of that. If you're wanting to move into the turbo platform contemplate selling it. If it's in good condition you could get a decent little amount. Intake/exhaust stuff like that is pretty inexpensive compared to trying to do a turbo setup etc. Talk with Stealthmonkey(geoff) about doing things to that engine, 3s's are his baby from what ive heard.

  13. sigh i have to buy a new head, the guy who was working on it neglected to say the head was also cracked, as well as the head on my old engine that they had cracked(it was already hosed but they thought they could use that head incase it wasn't completely dead) so now i HAVE to get a new head. God i wish this stupid thing would just be done already.

  15. meh no exhaust currently. And it's hard for me to get the car to do stuff to it since it's at joes house thus me wanting to get it here so i can at least try some things with it now. If you'd be willing to go up there with me id like to use the normal one if we could to see what we get at least so id know, i have no ride that's functioning, my rx-7 is down and my 240 is down too so id pay for your gas to get there and back and like a bite to eat or something.   17. Looking to get my rx-7 towed back to my house, we're thinking that it might not be a blown engine and it has more to do with spark/coil packs then anything. If anyone wants to make some $$ give me a shout in this thread and we can talk shop. Thanks! (the place it needs to get towed from is off scotts lawn, nw of dublin by 12 minutes, from there to go back to westerville road/morse road intersection basically.) Also if anyone has a compression test that they could hook up to my car for me id pay for that as well, slide some bucks into someone's pockets because i don't really need one for myself. Lemme know conditions etc etc you'd want to tow it for.
  18. alright cool thanks and yes, it's a SOHC. Geoff and his friend were suggesting i buy a new head since they i think he said he may have tried to re-tap it maybe? But i don't know if they have the right tools or not, or something. Anyways ill see about getting the helecoil and the retap. If they can't ill find someone who can do the retap.

My 240 engine i bought recently has a threaded spark plug hole /cross threaded or whatever, is anyone here able to do something to that possibly like re-thread it or do i just have to go buy a new head since that is messed up. Seems like id be able to just re-thread it but the guys who are working at it now tried to no avail but i don't know if that's because the head can't take it or they don't have the tools to do it or whatever. If someone could respond back ASAP id greatly appreciate it. Thanks! T.c.
