  1. Nice numbers. This is what I'm talking about.. functional movements. Deadlifts and squats. We pick shit up all the time from the floor, so why not get stronger at it by doing the actual movements, not bicep curls.
  2. Spend 20-30 bucks at lowes/home depot and make your own pull up bar. http://ohiokravmaga.com/bar.jpg
  3. That's a good thing if you can get motivated to workout. CrossFit gyms add a bit of competition to the WOD's as well since you'll be in a group and not wanting to be the last one who finishes. That keeps the intensity high. I'm biased towards CrossFit though as I'm an instructor and have seen some amazing results with some of my clientele. CrossFit is the system that Navy SEALs use for their training, just check out sealfit.com as well as other branches of the military, LEO's and Fire.
  4. CrossFit is always varied. You will learn functional movements, major lifts, OLY lifts, gymnastics, proper running/rowing techniques. CrossFit is scaled to your fitness level, but that doesn't mean the intensity will drop. I don't expect a 100lb girl to do 50 cln/jerks in my class with 135, so we'll scale the weight to 65lbs. The intensity will be just the same as a guy using 155 or more. One good thing about P90X is that its a cheap program and you can do at home
  5. Any recommendations on places to use??
  6. Do CrossFit, not P90x. For your diet.. look at the Zone or Paleo
  7. Put in your email on tripadvisor, farecompare and airfarewatchdog for daily updates for the best prices

  11. Eat things that are sold on the outer edge of supermarkets learn and practice olympic lifts and multi-joint movements do CrossFit
  12. We've been once and will never go back. Much better options in the Carribbean than Jamaica. Go to Maui instead
  13. Been there every year of my life. How much are you wanting to spend?? We stayed here last year.. http://www.northbeachtowers.com/ Place was AMAZING. I would probably only stay here or at the Marriott villas when we go to MB in the future as most other hotels are getting old. Island Vista is real nice too, it's probably only 5 years old. http://www.islandvista.com/ The pool is a little small though. For places to eat.. There are really only 3 places that we go to every year... Rioz - brazilian steakhouse Drunken jacks - small seafood joint with their own boats docked behind the place Capt georges - best buffet in MB Broadway at the beach is pretty fun.. there is a place there called liberty steakhouse, food is meh, but they have their own brewery. So hit up the bar for happy hour and have appetizers.
  14. what's more impressive is the Concept 2 rowing record. That's like a 2 min 500m split for almost 7 hours.
  15. Is that graffiti on the memorial? On the Pacific side??

  19. Here's my quick review on vegas and the places we've stayed.. Flamingo - DUMP but cheap and GREAT location and great pool surprisingly Riviera - DUMP, way too far from the "strip" but had to stay here for a wedding Treasure Island - Average, nothing fancy and small pool but good price Monte Carlo - Decent place and good location. We were upgraded to a spa suite and the room was pimp. Pool area was a bit small Bellagio - this place was awesome. We had fountain view which was amazing with the floor to ceiling windows. The pool area was spectacular. I think they have some killer deals going on here now Mandalay Bay - Another upgrade here, normal room to the penthouse. Room was nothing short of fantastic. The pool here is so much fun, its a wave pool, with an actual beach. The bad thing about this hotel is that it's FAR away. It's the last hotel on the strip The Cirque shows/other shows - O - would see again. awesome KA - was so drunk I passed out about 15 mins into it. need to see again but the group that saw it with me said it was awesome Love - great if you enjoy the beatles Mystere - didnt care for this one The phantom - AMAZING. go see Ice - lame iceskating show at the riviera but the skaters were smokin hot Le Reve - not bad.. kinda an O wanna-be Restaurants - diablos cantina - fun mexican joint at the Monte carlo.. kinda pricey for an on the border style but oh well Carnegie deli - 20 dollar deli sammiches but they are HUGE. HUUUUUUUUUGE We usually go to a steakhouse so here are the ones we've been off the top of my head Prime at the bellagio - best steak ever SW Steakhouse at the wynn - been here twice. amazing Stripsteak at Mandalay bay - was excellent but the seating was out in the walkway area so a little loud and not as private delmonico at the venetian - this place was great. nice setting cant remember all the others but damn, after writing about it; i need to get back to vegas Walking the strip isnt that bad in the mid summer.. most of the times you'll cut through the hotels/shopping/casino and bypass the outdoors.
