  1. hehe, I just got one too, will probably put it on tomorrow, if you haven't done yours by then I'll be glad to give tips (although your car and my car a bit different). It shouldn't be hard at all. Removed the boot by removing some screws, then unbolt the old, grease up and install the new. bolt back down and test. K

heheh, there is always a way to do anything. Sometimes it just takes a lot of time/money. K
  3. I've got an intake coming, new suspension and a wheels/tires set. You gotta give me time to slap all those on, you don't want an EASY dinner now do ya? heheh moderately mod'd Supra v/s lightly mod'd RX7 is no fun, let me reach the ranks of moderately mod'd before you start pickin... K
  4. Thanks to everyone who offered to help with my dp! it's in! This morning I woke and felt ambitous (sp?), I put the car up on stands, removed some hoses and heat sheilds so I could get to the bolts and wrestled 2 of the 6 bolts loose. With many thanks to 89TIIdutch for some extra tools and muscle we were able to get the pre-cat removed and downpipe installed in about 4.5 hours! whiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzzz, wow, I can really hear my turbo's spin up now!!! Who needs a stereo when you got such a nice whine? k
  5. Nitrousbird - nice on the zip strips, the plates on my seadoo trailer are held on with lots-o-wraps of floral wire! smile.gif K
  6. HoTTie31 is coming along well! She installed her license plates tonight all by herself! (and she even used the right type of screwdriver!) I wasn't even home when she was doing it. I got home and there they were, all installed, right side up and everything! PROPS to HoTTie31!!! K
  7. Hwilli, If you are going to Hooters tonight, look me up. Since I don't know who you are... smile.gif Lets talk about getting my dp installed. I am less worried about overboosting now that my PowerFC is here! Maybe we should all start wearing name tags with our Forum names on them for all the new people! K
  8. I tried to take mine to Passen. They won't install dp's anymore unless you sign off on some waiver that says it is a "race only" vehicle because it requires removing the pre-cat. (illegal in ohio because of emissions).
  9. any 7 owners done this themselves, or know of a shop that won't f*ck up my car and will do it for me? The HOWTO's make it sound like a minor b*tch do to. Some shops won't do it because it requires removing the pre-cat (leaving the main cat). Apparently it is still illegal to remove the pre-cat even if you are leaving the main cat. the CA guys with 7's say you can still pass emmission with the pre-cat removed as long as the car is warmed up...not that we have heavy emmission testing in OH... K
  10. Nah, I don't want everyone to hate me, just to know that you shouldn't loose hope... There are dope-ass girls out there that will love you for who you are...keep looking! K
  11. I just had mine done by Joe @ Mid-Ohio Tint. Personally he has been doing window tint for 9 years, mostly he does commercial building tint now, guess the money is better... smile.gif But he still does cars on the side. I'm very happy with the job he did on my 7. I donno what it cost, it was a V-day present from HoTTie31! (gotta love a girl who will buy you car gifts for mushy holidays!) K
  12. I've got some Hawk Pads, haven't installed them yet. Got HPS's for the rear and HP Plus's for the front to give a bit of extra gription in the nose... Should have them installed by next weekend, will let you know my first impressions then! BTW: you can pop over to www.rx7club.com and read up on the Hawks, they are about the only pads anyone talks about for their 7's. k
