  1. I've passed a kidney stone. It was a bloody scream fest! Pulled a muscle in my lower back that was almost crippling. Tonsils swollen together with Mono. Sinusitis so bad I couldn't turn a light on, or even stand up.

Although I've always had a incredibly high tolerance for pain, the worst was when I seperated my shoulder on the soccer field. Had it popped back in one the field, but due to the lack of insurance at the time, never saw a doctor so no meds either. It was 2 weeks of no sleep and constant pain. Still hurts when I sleep on my left side, 15 years later.

  2. If I were to pick it would look like this.

This should be about as entertaining as attending the special olympics, with a priest.

  3. I'd have to agree with Kenny and Eli as being the best, while using completely different tactics.

Eli destroys using logic, facts, and your own words to subdue. Kenny just gave you the truth by spitting it in your face.

  4. Wow, I the one night Mike the senior citizen decides to show up and I'm not out.

Oh well, I'll catch him at MCL cafeteria some morning gumming some oatmeal I'm sure.

    Respect your elders, douche canoe!

  5. It was good seeing a few familiar faces, and meeting a few of you.

I guess its pretty sad to think that Codyh was 8 years old when I joined CR. Not that he seems to act any older than that now? :p

CR, parking lot, shopping cart, fireworks, police baton.... Yup. Same old gatherings, new faces.

  6. Picked up the Applegate 10 inch Combat Folder (top), with quick out sheath, at New Uses yesterday for $16.00. They had a beat up SOG without sheath for $10.00. Passed on it.

Actually picked up the stag horn and silver one there about a year ago for $15.

    All of my Gerbers:

  7. Nocab, Mojoe, and I ran up $300 tabs (no food included) in every stop in Georgetown/NoVa a couple of years ago. At least 2 stops a night, 3 days in a row.

I'm pretty sure we each drank at least a bottle of Goose, and god knows how many Red Bulls ordered 3 drinks at a time, each night. None of this "Club" bottle bullshit!

  8. He sounds like my nutbag neighbor! She calls CPD any time there is a car parked on the curb in any place along her property (corner lot). She's always bitching about people killing her grass???

I had pulled a car out of my garage to clean it one day, when I saw a cruiser pull along side of the car and stop. I walked out to be told that she had called in an "abandoned pink corrolla". He laughed as he called in that it was a PINK PORSCHE 911 Cabriolet!

She was the recipient of a late night Turfbuilder application. The neighbors wondered why there was a dark green patch in her lawn shaped like a hand giving the finger??????

  9. Looking good Kevin.

I used some black Krylon Fusion paint to cover up the yellowed plastic reservoirs on the front of the wheel wells. Makes a huge difference in a black engine bay, and it's cheap and easy. 30 min project!

    Sorry, can't find my pix.

    OLD teaser:

  10. I actually just had a leak at the rear iron that needed fixed. While it was there I had Peter make me an OMP block off, repaint the engine, Delrin motor mounts, RX8 water pump gasket, new oil pan, new ACT clutch, light weight flywheel, new counter weight, and a Garfinkle oil pan brace. A few of my specs are: half bridgeport, 2mm aviation apex seals, Mazda corner seals and springs, and a T04r with supporting mods.

Over/Under on when you sheer the teeth off of 3rd gear due to Trans. case flex?

  11. Pull it and swap the new one in as soon as you possibly can. Take it to water and flog the shit out of it at least twice. If it doesn't perform flawlessly, yank it and reinstall old motor.

    You have a week. GO!

Do not short cut previous plan. You will be sorry.

All this, from a previous rotary owner..............nevermind!

  12. Steps on having a real man's meal:

    1) Big ass steak

    2) corn and potatoes

    3) a nice beer

Pic taken with my iPhone so don't give me shit

It isn't some fancy ass meal. Just a basic man's man meal.

    :fuckyeah:

    1) Big ass steak should be at least 1.5 inches thick, no need for the width of a dinner plate. You could use it as a shoe insert I think? A1 should be reserved for shitty cuts of beef.

    2) Good call. Salt and real butter is all you need. Maybe some white pepper.

    3) Shiner Bock = a good beer on a hot day, not a good beer with a steak. Try an IPA, or something with a little more flavor to complement the meat, not just wash it down.

I'll give you a C for the effort, but a D for the "man's meal"

  13. I assume with the chicane before the Keyhole

    Full course with Chicane.

how race prepped were those M3s? engine mods? suspension mods? what weight was removed? or better yet, for what racing series and what class were they built?

FYI: I had a 300+lb instructor (Tony) shoehorned into the passenger Sparco EVO2 next to me on every lap.

    The one I drove:

TTB Class, Add the rest of the cage (A-pillars and Door frames), and take out 200lbs, and it would be a GTS3

Stock Engine, A/C, Power Steering, Exhaust.

AST5100 suspension, H&R front sway bar

Rear interior gutted and 3/4 caged (only stock door panels, dash and center console left)

Sparco seats and 5 point harnesses

    Hoosier 18 inch stickies

    Pic before seats and cage:

    TTS, GTS3

    quite a bit more modified.....

  14. What a blast! The weather turned out better than expected with only a rain delay on Friday mid-day, and a wet track on Saturday for the first two groups.

Blew the high pressure oil line from the VANOS to the reservoir late Friday morning. No replacements in Ohio. Removed it and found a shop in Mansfield to weld it and had the car back together for the last session of the day.

Picked up a shitload of rubber debris ("boogers") on the Hoosiers going deep in the Keyhole. Got a pretty good vibration at 130mph and in right hand corners. Took an hour to remove the front tires and shave the "boogers" off. I ended up missing another session just making sure that there wasn't a mechanical problem.

There were obviously a wide variety of Porsches, from 914s to GT3RSs running. also everything from a mid 90s GTI, an RX8, a few Factory Fives, Corvettes, and a fucking fast as hell Honda Hatch (450hp)with a driver who was tremendously skilled.

Watched both and Porsche and a Lotus spin into the run-off coming out of turn #1 too hot. Fortunately only one car made contact (light hit) with a wall all weekend. The Vipers had some bad luck as one blew a new engine, and another a head gasket.

All in all, a blast of a weekend. I spent a lot of lower speed practice in lines and braking due to a few really slow drivers in my run group, hence not a lot of clean laps.

I had a best lap time of 1:51.00 timed electronically using GPS (by a Trackmate). I guess i can't complain as it was my 2nd session ever on a track.

In-car video, with Trackmate data overlaid, should be posted later in the week.
