  1. I had no idea it was rare, and it's really taken a lot of abuse over the decades. I guess I can't complain. Buy quality, buy once.....

From the information that I have been able to find, this model was only in production for part of 1991. Measuring 44mm, it was a large watch by 1991 standards and even at a modest price of $125ish new, it didn't sell all that well. A majority of them were sold outside the US.

  2. After midnight, might as well put up today's selection. Poljot Blue Angels Calibre 3133 Mechanical with Exhibition case back:

  3. Jeez, I hope it's not too rare. (My daily watch for the last 20 years) :p

Holy shit Doc! I've never seen that color combo. I've had this one since 99. Since then, I've only seen 2 for sale with yellow gold bezels and white faces, and 2 with the copper (one was a case only).

  4. My daily beater is an Invicta Grand Diver 3044 with a Miyota automatic movement. I have had it for 2 years now and it has surpassed my every expectation. I beat the hell out of watches at work and this watch only shows minor wear and has kept time flawlessly. The stainless steel it is made from is very high quality, and the crystal hasn't yet scratched. I would say it's the best watch I've ever seen for under $200.

It's 47mm and they have it in quartz and automatic, in many colors, and also in chronograph.

  5. Breitling polishes 90% of their watches. This is good because you can "recondition" the entire watch for undr 100 bucks. Also, breitling makes the best watch band money can buy. You know my infatuation with breitling. Nothing more needs to be said.

Agreed. This is why I own one.

What I am saying is... PEOPLE ONLY BUY ROLEX BECAUSE OF THE NAME

There is irony in this statement.

Disclaimer: After no alcohol for the entire month of December, all bets are off when the ball drops. Who wants to be my on-call DD?

  7. Don't want to thread jack but saw this and figured I'd add my .02.

I bought this for my mom last christmas, and with multiple weekly usage, it hasn't skipped a beat and is a breeze to use.

If you just want the opener for a tad cheaper and not the entire kit....here's it. It really takes no effort to open a bottle now.

    I got hers at Polaris...

    Butting out now...

I appreciate your input, but I've purchased these before and I really do not recommend them. The tards that work for me have broken or bent the screws on these types of openers within a week.
