I prefer to buy used from CR. The truck I bought from Ben had a few issues, and he was upfront about them. I am very happy with the price I paid, and have 13k on it, only the problems he told me about have required attention, no nasty surprises.

If I am not mistaken, torque twist plants the passenger tire harder than the drivers tire, the pinion is acting as the pivot point lifting the passender side of the car. Very nice axle, how is the ring and pinion looking after that much power? More splines = more surface are to distribute the load, untill the metal become to thin to bear the load and shears off.

Fuel leak, injector hanging open and letting fuel into the intake (did it make some black smoke when it started?) Also, is it an in tank fuel pump, or in line furhter up. Could be a pin hole in the fuel pickup tube (my Dakota has that problem, pain in the ass when I am below 1/4 tank)

Mmmm, #2 fuel oil is tasty! Goes good with some veggie oil. I have 90% of my parts for putting a 4BT in my dakota, just a few driveshaft yokes and I can start assembly. BTW, alot of people are swaping diesels into other vehicles (cummins 4BT/4BTA are popular and plentiful) Jeeps, 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks, SUVs are popular recipients. Also, alot of the cummins 4BTs came with a chevy bellhousing, so they swap in nicely.
