The speed of sound is only relevant from the officers vocal cords to the mic, then from the reciving radios speaker to the ear drum of the reciving officer. RF is a magnetic wave, wich travels at ~ the speed of light. Of course, there is a few milliseconds of delay if there is a repeater station involved, or if it is on the OSHP trunk network.

The blue honduh product that couldnt figure out how to turn down the volume, and then did a weak tire spin in the lot as he left (~1am) is a prime example of the kids. I almost chased him down, but didnt feel the energy was justified on his stupidity.

I youre just gona bitch about it, ill take that 12 bolt off your hands I know how it goes on these things, I have a 66 Plymouth that hasent seen the outside of my shop in over 3 years. The wife sees them as money pits, so that makes it even more fun funding the new parts.

Next time it locks up, open the brake bleeders on the front axles. If it unlocks, start looking at the proportioning valve and master cylinder. If it srays locked, it is something mechanical on the caliper (or your bleeder is boned) This post fuled by King Cobra, Hens Tooth, and Bud Ice.

I have a bluepoint 1/2" I got from the trade-in/repo bin on the snapon truck. It looks like hell, ~ 15 years old, gave $50 for it and it kicks major ass. No problems taking out the bolt for a harmonic balever or anythng else I have trown at it.

Not as iffy as it used to be. They changed the max age brackets from 26 when you enroll in AV school to I belive 32 now, as well as opening aviation warant to any e-4 and above, regardless of MOS. As long as you have a knowledge of aircraft (pass the written for a private + some general knowledge) you are in there. Oh yeah, flight physical as well.

Correct. Enlist>basic training>OCS>aviation school. I can't remember how long the carrer path takes, but you come out a 2nd Luitenant with rotary wing pilots liscence and insturment ratings.
