  2. That's a 70s 2 pc rear main 350. Dipstick for oil is on driver side. Best block gm had for power as far as 350s go. Some 010s had added nickel content wich can be found under the timing cover. Shows a n with a number. My 010 went 8.89 at 153 with splayed caps and no block fill. They usually have a piston with a small dish and rounded piston tops at the rings come in arround 8.7 to 9.2:1 all have 5.7 rods some have the x rod wich some say is stronger. Cranks can be forged or cast those yrs. Most 010 blocks are from late 70s pickup trucks. Lift a valve cover off there will be a 3 digit code like 840 841 142 or something like that to tell what heads it has. Some head castings only came in 1 cc some in 3 diff ccs.   5. Yea better to crawl then hit a wall. Yea I don't see it having any issues leaving with like 2psi or 3 and using the same ramp rate. Key will be having a good track.

  11. It deff took a while to build what boost did u have right at the launch. The ramp rate looked good but seemed to leave with no boost.
  12. I've ran with a 1150 on a 355. Key is does the motor need it. Yes a 750 is too large for that motor as it is. My motor has a 750 and needs a 850 or 950 badly. Key here is my motor shifts at 7800. Has big dur big lift big runner heads. Went 11.02 at 127 on motor with a 950. You should really change the gears. Not many motors at all would wana run with a 2.6 gear. Evan if your motors peak rpm is 6000 rpm a 3.50 gr would barley get u there. Mileage would proably get better letting the motor pull the car easier. Plus ud likley never feel the true stall of 3000 rpm I'm shure that motor strugglin with the gear. Id make the gr change right away.
  13. I went a 9.90 at 105 let off half track. Did run a 9.169 at 149.8. Almost went 150s again. Still showing 2 psi more boost then it did when it was running 8.90s at 151 152. I think the cam is off a deg or 2. I'm gona check it and go to marion so I can hook.

  18. Congrats man that's moving for shure. U think it will be competitive for x275 class? I'm prety shure 7.60s is real close. How close are u to their 1/8th mile. I heard him say 1.24 60 I know a lot of them are 1.15 1.18 range. I still can't get over a single 88running that et. My 88 wouldent do that for shure.

  20. Proably wore out. The 80s monsters made like 170 180hp and most ran like crap. If its a car he loves id pull the motor and build a real sbc to replace that low hp monster. Could be a bad inj stuck open but it would run like crap. We'll worse than a 180hp monster. Tell him ill sell him my 355 nitrous motor. 12.4:1 forged internals ported heads and the fuel system w nitrous setup for 5000! Then ud have a real monster with enuf power for 9s if he wants Ask anyone that was at the grove city car show how the stock red s10 blazer sounds.
