yeap. build'em in the winter blow'em up in the summer. if we lived in a warm state say fl it might be tune'em in the winter, race'em in the winter, and park'em in the summer. most tracks are way too hot.lol
i dont know jamy from mazda mods was telling me about one of them. i know the one he had at king of columbus went 9.80 said was having problems. jamy said had video of one of them running a 8.0 and letting off at the big end.
i race pro sound like thats where he needs to be racing. no 14 sec cars in pro and i believe even better drivers. way closer on there dial. and if you cut worse than a .020 light good chance youll loose. I cant get into box cars. i can understand if in a super class. but anything else would not make any sense. If i build a 7 sec car i want to go 7s every pass.
well here are the options. im freshining my 355. which could be a good canidate. or i was thinking of building a 421 sb. the diffrences would be the 421 would need a way smaller converter and launch at a way lower rpm. the 355 would probly shift about 7800 where im shifting now on the bottle. depends on the turbo the banks kit makes 1100 hp intercooled at about 6800 so i could really shift it arround 7300.
hey all i just talked to jamy. ther more cars the better. he said it will be like a meet. lots of cool cars. maybe some 600 hp rx7 action against a 600 hp beemer. rumors of a 1000 hp rx7. kinda a informal car show. and just a great time. i beleve its 50 bucks i forgot to ask him. starts at 10 and ends when the last car gets dynoed., i can vouch for last year just mazdas went from about 11am to about 7pm. this year should be at least twice the mazda +the bimmers should be packed. vidoe camreas are welcome and incurraged.
hey i just talked to the dude jason from banks. he is telling me that two 60-1 turbos will out flow a t76. and match close to a t88. and from the compressor maps that looks right. are the cars making 1400 hp on a t76 spraying also? or small displacement. im just trying to figure this out. twin turbos would look sweet and give better driveablility to and from the track. decisions
id have to say that i have never seen a 14 sec car in super pro, or pro classes. if im right the slowest allowed in pro is 12.99 or 13.99 and in super pro its 11.99. maybe some people are racing in the wrong class. like street. youd have to expect 14s in the street class. or the import class. but i still like my import gets good gas mileage. my 2 cents
No its a tubbed truck 4 link rear. im planning on addind a ballast bar to add led shot to to make it hook harder or softer. and the converter will proably be a 5500 stall. id like a 4500 but getting one in a 8" diameter for a turbo car is kinda expensive.
it would be worth checking in to because the t76 has a 4" inlet and will allow a air cleaner the t-88 has a bellows oppening and no way to mount a air filter. well at least the ones im seing on turbonetics site and its cheeper. do you know what cbin there motors are?
i dont really even like mustangs but i cant see why one would say best to best because the corvette has always been high end car. the cobra is still like 10000 cheeper. and not in the same class of car. now im a chevy guy and i have always compared the mustang to the camaro in which the cobra will kick the shit out of a camaro stock to stock. now it was up to gm to build a real camaro and they really never did. the ls1 is a good platform able to make lots of power BUT gm didnt do it ford did. i give kudos to ford.
yea understeer.com and mazdamods are friends of mine web sites. im sure they incurrage the bigger the croud the better theme. i dont know what all cars are allowed to dyno if its just bmws and mazda. im sure if you bring somthing and want to run it they wont mind if there is enough time which there probly will be. so if i head north on bethal rd to sawmill id take a right?
