  3. damn i came really close to buying that one yesterday, but instead bought this one (the one on the right) http://www.streetbikerider.com/i-products/shoei/shoei-helmets-street-2007-rf-1000-zemke-2.jpg
  4. true true, i'll def have it in my next system when prices drop. Thing is my current rig more than handles what i throw at it so i have no need to upgrade.
  5. I agree with the below hardware, however i would add an aftermarket heatsink for the processor. Something along the lines of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118223
  6. there is a huge difference as you can see from the 500 to the 600. Very noticeable in riding too, i recommend the 500 to learn on, its still more than enough power to ride with. I'm sure the below times are with pro riders, but it still can be done stock. Ninja 250 0-60 5.5 sec 1/4 Mile 15.5 sec Top Speed 115Mph HP@Wheel 28 Torque 14ft-lbs@9500rpm Fuel Eff. 55-75mpg Dry Weight 304lbs Ninja 500 0-60 3.76 sec 1/4 Mile 12.73 sec Top Speed 140Mph HP@Wheel 52 Torque 31ft-lbs@8000rpm Fuel Eff. 48mpg Dry Weight 388lbs ZX-6R ('04) 10.50 @ 130.7 quarter mile ~100hp
  7. as stated any of the below bikes would be good to start on, i wouldnt recommend a 600cc to learn on. I personally learned on a 500, and then went to a 600cc. Check insurance rates. even at 22 with a clean record insurance is high. I can get liability only for my old 600 for 25$ a month, however for any decent bike I would get theft coverage, it bumped to 70$ for me, and full coverage was out of the question at 300+ , that was with 0 points. That was with progressive.
  8. get a bike. faster, cheaper, more fun, more skill needed than a car.
  9. agreed, your credit score and be much more important in the long run. then switching cards every year. I've heard its best to keep cards open around 3 years. Credit Cards are not evil in the right hands. Personally I recommend a debit card and a credit card. Even if you charge 5$ a month on the CC it will build your credit history. Also its best to keep 0 balance on your cards, as your credit score is partially determined by you credit line available. If it's constantly maxed out or even at 50%, well guess how your credit score will be. For instance if my memory from class is accurate if you buy a house for 250K at 6% interest 30 years, or you have slightly worse interest at 6.25% because of poorer credit, yada yada,,, I believe you end up paying over 30k more throughout the life of your loan! And thats just a quarter percent, imagine a whole point!

  13. Canon and Nikon are both great. Go to the store, see what feels best in your hands and buy that one. Both of them probably have more potential that you'll ever need to make of it.
