thank god someone knows whats up. I know for a lot of video editing/photo stuff it comes down to the processing power. consider this anology. Would you want a 700hp hot-rod on stock brakes? what if a top notch upgrade was very affordable. Sure you may not ever need all the braking power, but if you do, you know its there.

9600 GT is a garbage card, its actually worse than an 8800gt. If you want a serious setup PM me and ill design one for you. Just order the parts and put it together. How serious of videos are we talking? If you want you can come over and try out my machine, its got plenty of power for anything. Very affordable too. I priced mine as close to del as a i could (they dont even offer stuff this good) , mine would have been closed to 4500 from them. Building it myself was like 1700.

haven't ran it with the new video card, just got changed out my 8800gt superclocked for a 9800gtx superclocked. with the 8800gt it was like 13,500 i think @ 3.2 ghz, 4gb dd2 1000mhz, 1600mhz fsb. q6600 quadcore at 3.2ghz daily. I've had it up to 3.6, but i dont like the voltage past 1.4 i'll try and download the benchmark 06 again and see if the 9800 helped at all.
