  1. My Buick's always been a bitch to tune, and Brian always went out of his way to get the job done, with excellent results. My business won't be going anywhere else.
  2. The Dispatch is amazingly schizophrenic about political issues. They never go down the middle, but they'll occasionally run an article from the very opposite end of the spectrum from their usual take. Of course, no matter what their stand, they always get facts and spelling horribly wrong.
  3. There's the important question. If he was on the street with it, which it sounds like he was, then he was putting himself in serious danger of getting hit by a car. As far as I'm concerned, if you're on a public street, and are in control of anything more advanced than running shoes, you're eligible for a DUI.
  4. As soon as they enter without permission, don't announce themselves, and I don't know them. I live with my Brother, we keep our doors locked, all of our friends KNOCK, and nobody has keys except the maintenance guy. I've even met the maintenance guy half naked with a rifle hidden behind the corner of the wall because he didn't knock loud enough to be heard up the stairs and down the hall. The only reason he didn't get ordered to the floor at gunpoint is because he yelled "Maintenance!" as he was coming up the stairs and had a furnace filter in his hands. Even so, he got told to wait there while I got dressed(i.e., I took the rifle with me to the back, put on on some pants and a shirt, and slipped my Brother's .45 into my pocket), before I let him up to check the furnace filter.
  5. So, to those of you who have no problems with governments putting up cameras, I suppose you would also have no problem with your state government putting GPS trackers on your car so they could enforce a mileage tax to make up for lost fuel tax revenue due to more efficient cars? It's been seriously proposed in almost every state now... Isn't this the site where I saw near-unanimous outrage over the idea of speed cameras over the past couple years? You're outraged by being caught speeding, but you have no problems with the government installing cameras city-wide, with computer software available to make it possible to track a person to and from every destination during the average day?
  6. Stan Meyer. Same MO as every other watercar scam. Every single one of these people makes exactly the same claims: it runs on water, and maybe some kind of electrolyte salt additive. The military/government/automakers are interested(no specific manufacturer is ever mentioned). They usually offer their invention as a set of plans for some ridiculously low price(an invention that would solve, literally, almost every resource-related problem humanity has, sold for the low, low price of four installments of $10), instead of as a finished product that would reap far more profit, but would have to pass EPA and NHTSA safety and emissions testing. Eventually, they just kind of fade into the mists after bilking a few people out of their money.
  7. Less than worthless. A fucking burden on society.
  8. This dude had better have gotten laughed off the force.
  9. Maybe the question you oughtta be asking is why the feds don't go after militias when we have Republican presidents.
  10. This is not the video you are looking for. But it's still cool.
  11. Amen. I just found two bags of the Pizza Cracker ones at the corner Thorntons. I thought they'd stopped making em. All I can usually find is those awful Pizzeria Pretzel turds. This reminded me of a search I made a few months ago and came up empty on: Fiestadas! You guys remember those awesome hexagonal Mexican pizza things they used to serve in school? Well, I just redid the search, and it looks like I might be able to special order them from a Gordon Food Service store.
  12. You guys oughtta see the tricks the Brits have up their sleeves with those PITA little bus-lane bollards: Rising Bollard: Fixed Bollard(whoa): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZKWhFnWo30 Terra Blocker rising barrier(Jesus): Terra Gate (holy goatfuck!): Not totally sure if this is a win or a fail: Definitely a win:
  13. This kind of shit makes me root for staph infections.
  14. Dude, this NOTHING. I used to deliver pizza all along the east side Morse Rd./161 corridor, and I literally could not get through one delivery without seeing at LEAST 3 cars run lights as late as anything in those vids. And yet, even though I almost never got anywhere near the speed limit because of traffic, COPD still insists on doing targeted speed patrols up there instead of paying an instants attention to red-light runners.
  15. Interesting. I'm apparently IP banned on that site. Dunno how, never even heard of the place til today. Fuck it.
  16. How the hell do you think that's proof of anything? Was the car malfunctioning when he filmed that video? If not, then his "proof" is meaningless.
  17. FOOTNOTE: Damn thing works just fine today. Must have been the cold effecting the valve the last time.
  18. And an actuall Richard Petty autograph, one of a kind wheels, one of a kind GM-made carbon fiber PANELS, not overlays, and the fact that it actually is a GM concept car, not just a SEMA car whipped up by a tuner. Yeah, too much money, but only by about half. Too bad they didn't drop in the high compression N/A 3800 from the Intimidator concept, then it would easily be worth more than that.
  19. Yeah, those guys haven't got a clue, but the Russians do have some competent offroaders: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1gNPEVpmo4 God DAMN, I gotta get me one a these!
  20. Oh, not even close. We'd get arrested, spend the night in jail, and have our vehicle impounded. Those who enforce the law should be held to a HIGHER standard, not a lower.
  21. I could have told you it was bullshit just based on the fact that Rush opened his mouth about it.
  22. I'd kill all three of you, then offer my services for free, and pay for my own ammo.
  23. My Brother and I have that one, but the older version with the round pad. Still the same hydraulics, though. Last time I used it, it came down, wouldn't lift the car. It may have been because of the very cold temps, haven't tried it again to see.
  24. The Durex Animals outtakes are pretty good, too:
  25. What can I say, you Subie guys all look alike.
