That is an awesome build, but it looks like a huge mess getting that thing apart. I think I'll stick to my pushrod and SOHC V6s... OTOH, it looks you would now be qualified to work on any V-twin out there...

Personally, I think lambo doors are teh gheyness, but I can't argue with your reason for wanting them. BTW, you may want to do some research on RDs. I'm betting your RD doesn't scan all radar frequencies. I personally don't know jack about them, because I don't use them. I'm a truck driver, and I've learned how to spot cops long before they spot me. In places where there's conditions that prevent me from being able to see that far away, I just slow down. Also, being fast as fuck at hiding your RD could get you in deep shit. I mean, if you get spotted hiding it, the cops is probably gonna think you're hiding something a hell of a lot more incriminating, i.e. drugs, guns, etc... Oh, and BTW, if you have no previous infractions, they'll probably drop it to a speeding ticket, but if you've got a long list of speeding tickets, you're screwed.

For those who want a 1911, don't start off with an expensive gun. Buy a decent frame, and build it yourself. Do your research, buy the best parts you can afford. You can put together a gun that will blow an off-the-shelf Kimber away for about the same price.

Yeah Glocks are indeed reliable. But if you don't like the way they feel, you're never going to shoot well with it. You might try the Springfield XD line. For reliability and accuracy, they're pretty much interchangeable, but the ergonomics of the XD are a little better, I think. Try the .40 and .45, specifically. Of course, nothing out there compares to a well-built 1911...
