  1. Not sure on your utility requirements, but we just got an '18 CR-V for the wife and like it a lot. Used 17s are tough to find and aren't much less than new at all.

Touring doesn't add a whole lot, so we got an EX-L. Amazed at the room inside and mileage so far, even with AWD.

I was convinced we would buy a Crv too we drove a Pilot and it felt a lot smoother and you could do 4 up and drive for a few hours WAF was good too.

  2. Looking for a new or 1 or 2 yr old suv, open minded on brand although usually don't go domestic I just drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee and was digging it.liked the Pilot too but the used values on these are a few grand off new

Sweet spot around 30K ish would like leather and a few goodiesI'm just not familiar with what's decent and what's not, thanks

  3. Will we be in our rocking chairs saying to the younguns, I remember when Youtube content was all free you could watch all you want with no ads!.... if your flying without adblocker .......why?

To others points, saterday morning power block TV with Stacey David was bearable with all the ad breaks because the show was so good,we were in a sorta pre YTube time and you just dealt with the pain because it was great tv and a car show was on.

These days I do not watch at all I may flip occasionally and catch part of it but it doesn't hold my attention for very long.

I dont blame the content providers for trying to monetize it just means Ill tune out sooner or later.

A solution could be what Matt farah does shoves a promo bit on the front of his video and you watch the rest ad free.

  4. FWIW on mine just after 100k it was open season for maintenance suspension being up there as it was easy to tell when something was off,by the time your hearing stuff its getting pretty bad.

I started to diy myself bc shops were getting silly.

I remember doing the cooling system overhaul at 125k,window motors a time or two, the Vanos, blower motor in the middle of a heat wave that was fun....and a myriad of intake/gasket leaks, finally the tranny let go at 224k and I procured a used one and sold it soon after.

My advice to you is to save 3 to 4k a year from now on to pay a shop or D/L a shop manual and fix yourself it isn't so difficult.

  5. Looking at what the bank makes in interest every year and the fact that you could buy your house 3 times by the time the loan is paid back, what is everyone trying to do to pay it off quicker? I've seen a ton of different things that people say to do in order to pay your mortgage off in sub 10 years, but all of them just seem like silly schemes. Anyone with real experience?

Honestly the fact your asking "how" shows your pretty motivated to get it done early, the rest is just math, pay as much every month/year and 30 yrs becomes 15 pretty quickly.

We did ours in 11 yrs and its motivating enough where the sacrifice doesn't seem like one at all.
