My 01 E46 3 series started to cost me money at 100k + and was the first round of fixing things in its life.....so whatever Beemer your looking at try and see if the previous owner has put money into it it will mean you will not have to.
Suspension and lower control arms are getting tired at that mileage and will need replaced, the cooling system will need a complete overhaul, check the window switches all work, rubber intake boots crack and leaks are hard to spot but throw srs codes its probably a good idea to replace the fuel pump and filter for insurance too.
Motors are solid and last forever,if you can turn a wrench I would say go for it if not budget a few thousand dollars a year for maintenance,

Ha I was just thinking about this last night if I had to start all over again I would buy a cheap camper van and roam around this country till I found a area that I would be happy to live in.

Thanks for the suggestions I will check them out.
Staring at that bottle makes me thirsty......and I'm not a whiskey/bourbon fan.
Yep.
Well my host was a 80 year old military man and a good single malt was the only thing he was drinking so its what I had too...we talked war stories for about a hour or so and when I left he gave me a bottle to take home

I was at a cookout and had a glass of Bowmore given to me and by the second glass I was pretty hooked on the peaty taste.
Now I,m trying to track some down and would like to know if any one knows where to get some
or knows of a similar tasting whiskey that can be bought locally?

Seems like your off the BMW thing but the Turbo 6cyl motor would make for a better daily in a 335 with lots of torque,if you could get a manual or not?
With spending 50K I would be going CPO frankly if I were buying a Beemer or Cadillac

I have a offsite support person in California that is working with me here in OH and because his landline shows up with a 805 prefix often times he has to go to VM and has to leave multiple messages to get through to a customer it wastes time and thats a pain.
I have thought about buying him a cellphone locally and shipping to him,I,m wondering if there is some other way through the internet/google,anyhow this stuff is over my head and need suggestions, thanks.
