  1. With proper minds on the job, custom development will always yeild better results then out-of-the-box kits. Plus, I must say I prefer the layout of the IPS job, that PTK kit is just a shiny mess that screams "LOOK AT ME!!". You'll find the "LOOK AT ME" crowd isn't very descerning, praise from them is not to be held in high reguard. I like how the site say "List Price" and "Our price".....Its their system, they set both prices. Silly way to make you think you're getting a deal.
  2. No eli, I'm talking about Lou specificaly. Read or listen to him. The stories are factual, but the way he presents them is annoying, even if he agrees with you.
  3. I'm amazed at how fucking stupid people are. The managers need to be prosecuted. Ignorance in a position of power needs to be a crime.
  4. It plugs into any Dyno. Instead of printing out data, it extrudes fake plastic penises of releveant lengths. This way, you can compare without doing any math. Who should I sell these to?

  6. Theres some decent info in there...but, I generaly take a "shut up Lou" aproach to that guy, he's got a penchant for sensationalizing pretty much everything. Maybe I prefer news people to remain unbiased. I'd venture to say McKinley was more out of touch.
  7. Spray N Propyl Nitrate into your exhaust manifold before an abusrdly large turbo, make sure your exhaust is pointing straight back, the thrust may be noticable. btw, you only get to do it once, gets kinda hot.
  8. Why is it the mere mention of IPS brings out passive agressive childishness and fiercely defensive banter?
  9. Give it enough time and some one always drops the name!
  10. must catch the race on TV now
  11. somethings funny about this cat, I dont think you should trust'm. Something about going to Lima for an education doesn't seem right.
  12. I beleive you should produce an Evo for us. A couple of notes: That wasn't a quote from me, it was paraphrased from Martin Brundle. This car has the BEST Saloon-Car Handling chassis anywhere in the world" And I said "finest", not "most agressive". In stock form, the self leveling air ride was a delight in any driving mood. My car has Bilstiens and H&Rs, I'll see your Evo challenge on a skid pad. Mind you, the EVO has alot of physics working against it. The 2.5 16v Evo II benz has alot of physics working for it, like 238bhp N/A, far more agressive suspension, and about 2700lb curb weight. You'll need more then AWD and springs on your Lancer to get you 'round that. http://www.germancarfans.com/classics/5050208.001/5050208.001.1M.jpg It was even on the fore-front of silly wings. (ps, I was shit talking. The car is amazing, but I wouldn't be suprised if there is something better, it's been 20 years.....just not an Evo )
  13. You mean like the finest handling 4 door car ever made? The Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 16v Cosworth?
  14. Oh snap, I should've known that! But I'm looking for forward force. That would give me lateral force, and the force passed out the rear. The force transferred to the sail/vehicle wont be equal to 1/2 PSF, would it? edit: Maybe it would. The fastest Sailboats do 2x windspeed, and the fastest land sailers do 4x wind speed, with very narrow sails. http://www.windjet.co.uk/images/stories/land/iron_duck_side.jpg Astonishingly enough, the fastest ever recorded speed of a wind powere craft was set back in 1938 by a canvas sail and a stern steer. As far ahead as we've come, we've yet to surpass that. (he had a 70mph wind, though) http://www.windjet.co.uk/images/stories/ice/deuce.jpg

  16. Ok now the hard part. I've got PSF @ sea level when perpendicular to the wind. Now I'm looking for something to give me the thrust conversion for varying angles relative to the wind. Boom @ 20deg to wind = minus X lb side force and + X lb forward force. I might be able to find this ins aeronautical mathmatics, since it'd also be used for pitch angles of propellars.
  17. http://www.imageshack.us Very simple, no signing up for anything. Now you've got no excuse for not posting pics of your car. See how easy it is? http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/2290/13ea4.jpg
  18. wouldn't consider taking a trade would ya? 2001 Nissan Frontier Desert Runner?
  19. Trans-go street/strip shift kit TCI 3500 stall lock-up torque converter I'll even toss in the trans cooler. It'll be coming out of my 91 5.0 Cougar when the TKO goes in. Catch, 4th gear is fried, and 3rd may be slipping. It needs clutch packs. $200 for all of it, the torque converter is easily worth that alone. It should be coming out of the car in a week or two.
  20. My cougars got cob webs, it ads to the rigidity of the unibody.
  21. Thats because it's a sportscar, not a pony car. The floor is where your big white ass belongs.
