  1. BTW, check out the ASQ (American Society Of Quality). They're the ones doing the certifications, and they also help match inspectors to employers.
  2. Mike's not a tight ass, I checked. graemlins/thumb.gif Also, you should race his car, since you think 12s are fast.

    27\28?

yeah, right after one of their weekly Butseks Sleepovers. I dont know of anyone that does. tongue.gif The Street Sniperz were a gorup of tools in Dublin that loved The Fast and the Furious way too much.
  4. My 150k ford went 12k on mobil 1. Its paid for, and apart from destroying the origional tranny, I can't seem to break it. In all honnesty though, the OE transmission only goy ate becaus I didnt fix the leak or put fluid in it. i still have the origional belts on my car. Sure, it'd be smart and easy to change them, but the curiosity is still there "how long can I go?". tongue.gif
  5. Never said they didn't do good work, I'm sure they do. It's just a weight off me'mind. smile.gif
  6. I hate to sound like a dousche, but I'm not sure I want to do buisness with freinds. Beleive me, its outa love. People doing automotive service accept a bit of risk. If something goes wrong, which can happen no matter how good you are, I dont want to have to go after you. Imagine fronting cash for a costly mistake.
  7. We, man, we, the three of us. Unfortunately this is an expensive lesson for her to learn. Including the previous work, the swap, and depriciation done to the car by all this, she's accountable to about $10,000.
  8. Damn, thats what I'm doing now. But I have 2 years left on my contract.

    Sold

Actualy, I've never putout a proper ad, just here. Alot of places cant hold on to them, and no one realy wants to sell them. Thats IF they run. Project cars are always tough to unload.

    People.

many things I see these days make me want to resume work on my Doomsday device.
  11. nope, they split. I noticed Matt was no longer with us, I pulled over and Brian pulled next to me and said "I think matt wrecked", since both cars look identical in a mirror at night. Hearing this, I went back to try and help out. The explorer's occupants were pretty bloddied up from the roof collapsing on them. There were alot of people around, so I took to directing traffic till the po got there, took fuckin 10 mins. Then came the amulances and choppers, with me still directing traffic. I heard what witnesses were saying, and what the kids in the stang were saying, and got pissed and matt and wrote him angry things, but he straightened me out. tongue.gif
  12. Prospective buyers. We still need cover $8000+ in remaining principal. If the SC can be done with no ECU mods or Wiring harnesses, it could be doable. Anyone know?
  13. Got a dude that my folks use alot and swear by. He's got a 14k mi engine, bought, installed, and wartranted for around $3g. I'd love to do it myself, but that aint happening in my apartment complx parking lot. Mike, j00 got PM.

  16. Second time I'd seen idiots cause a wreck. RecklessOp, Unleased, and I were rollign south boud on 315 a couple summers ago. A99 cobra rag top merged onto the highway next to us, and seing 3 loud cars, decided to show off. They did a 120mph+ ricer flyby of matt and ran right up ont he ass of an explorer before deciding they needed to change lanes. They tried to do it too quickly and got a gob of high speed oversteer. fishtailed intot he sideof the explorer, which lost control, hitting the center divider and rolling onto its roof, sliding 50yds, then rolling back onto its wheels. I didn't see it happen, that is the account from Matt, and the scene backed it up. I went back to assist as soon as Brian told me what happened. I wish I had known, because the kids said they were run off the road by a mustang and it wasn't their fault. Witnesses said they were racing 2 mustangs. In the end, the world was minus a cobra, and plus some bad street racing press. Wish I had a phone and could get the account from Matt, I'd have filled out a statement.
  17. they had dated records an notes from the last time she had it in. They stated the factory filter was still on there, practicaly chemicaly bonded to the truck. Plus she admitted to have never gotten an oil change. It took ever bit of restraint I had not to go off on her in a "how fucking stupid can you be!?" kinda way. ButI made the points calmly. Including depriciation of the trucks value, this will priobably cost us $10,000 all told.
  18. update, prices to beat: 16,000 mi used engine, $4700 installed. Nissan reman w/warranty, $6082 installed. One other option I'm considering; SBC swap. If think you can make this a hotrod truck for less then $4000, let me know. Its got the Desert Runner suspension package, a quality v8 swap might fetch it a decent price.
  19. Yeah, thanks for the good press whoever it was, way to become a statistic. graemlins/doh.gif
  20. After today, I agree completly I'd like to apologize to the Germain folks for things said in this thread. I went into this without a very vital bit of info and made some uncalled for comments and assumptions. The woman conveniently forgot to mention that, in 43,000 mi of operation, she never had an oil change....ever, EVER. The Service people at Germain Nissan have in fact been very resonable and have come up with some resonably priced options and solutions.
  21. Turns Out we're fucked because my significant other left out a very important fact. She never had a fucking oil change....ever! They found the factory oil filter on it. I go in expecting to bust heads, and turns out I look like a total ass. Anyways, to all you shops out there, I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier in need of a VG33E. Hopefully you can find one with 43,000 miles or less on it. We plan to sell it off as soon as its done. So I'm officialy shopping, who out there wants this work?
