  1. Check out the video: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html
  2. This is now the opposit of the lol thread. Jesus Christ.
  3. They're not as bad as the FDA.... Which is alarming. My company makes water/soil analytical equipment geared toward numerous EPA methods. One of which is due to be revised.... requiring equipment with a level of accuracy that hasn't been invented yet. Neat.
  4. It's a distraction from real environmental issues with real consequenses now. If we'd ignore the hypothetical "climate change" argument and focus on the "our water is poisonous" debate, we'd get done what needs done.... but there's no money in it. Arguing climate change, and our part in it, is a waste of time because it's just that; an argument. No one can win it, yet the people in charge love trying because it keeps them employed; "Look at what I said, I'm on your side, re-elect me". They funnel money to researchers who produce results that are requested of them, because there's so much statistical data out there that it's possible to shift it in whatever direction you like. Global warming is more of an industry than it is a debate or a "movement".
  5. Fact is, agriculture is likely our greatest contribution to climate change, if we even have a measurable one. Try to tell the hippy vegitarians that and they'll bitch about your C02 footprint. How about your "level the forests to plant food for 6 billion people" footprint?
  6. So much supporting evidence that no one beleives it? Wut?
  7. Something wrong with that, Soccer boy? Watch your back, this was a documentary.
  8. Different tastes. I like shaved bumpers, and though I don't dig huge vents, I can see the need for them.
  9. No, it wasn't. It was meant to compete with the influx of overseas sportscars (why it only had a V6 in its first year), and it sucked at it. The stingrays handled almost as shittily as the muscle cars.... because they were muscle cars. Put a 427 on one end of a slab of fiberglass and see what happens. A "world class sports car", it was not. The wheels are completely wrong, and it does indeed sit too high. But the styling is spot on fore a mid-engine 60's supercar. The shape had to change to get the engine/tranny in the back. Some one photoshop this a bit lower with some period-accurate wheels: http://images8.ecarlist.com/photos/1406_431861/640/02.jpg Like this guys stance and wheels: http://www.the904store.com/904-6.jpg That's who the mid-engine Vette would have been competing against.
  10. Mid Engine, how they should have been made: http://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jpg/200907/1963-chevrolet-corvew.jpg The lines over the rear are frikin awesome. http://www.playwithcars.com/web/1406/vehicle/431861/1963-Chevrolet-Corvette-V7%20twin%20turbo

  15. Is RRT doing th efull season? Will we see you at M-O in June? Great advice on racing pads. I've known people to put racing pads on their DDs because they do lapping days every once in a while. They never get the pads hot enough in normal driving, and really have piss-poor braking performance in the world of oblivious pedestrians and moron drivers, where you *need* the brakes to grab. Be sure you tourque the crap out of the nuts or whatever it is holds your bearing to the wheel.. Spec is high enough, but going a few pounds over is a bit of insurance in the face of heat.

  17. If you think I'm serious, go.... fuckin... kick your ass.. in its face!
  18. Downforce applies force downward, not backwards.
  19. Needs lexan. Covering the window holes will up the trap speeds and lower ETs, by alot.
  20. I'm putting in for a job in Hilliard. If it lands, I may be ringing you. What are kind of costs are you looking at with utilities? I'm currently paying for $875/mo rent, so your price is a bit high.... however if utilities rape me less, then I aught to get a bit closer to your asking price. I should also be out of debt by this summer, freeing up 2 car payments worth of monthly income. Do you allow pets? I have a 4 1/2 year old Human named Nick, looks a bit like me. We're a clean pair, shoes off at the door and all that, been renting our place for 3 years and the place is spotless. I'm Eric, by the way. Former pilot of a black Thunderbird, we've met.
  21. WHY DON'T YOU JUS SHUT THE FFFFFFUUUUUUUU!!!!! [/rage guy] Not crass at all, it's a legit question. I'm not quite settled yet: Still single though I'm raising a kid. At some point in the future, I will be moving, and I don't see the point in buying something that will be a huge pain in the ass to sell when I get married / move up in income / get annoyed with my neighborhood. Just not ready for a house yet. Also, $900/mo aint that much when it comes to getting a house. Once you factor in all of the costs associated with ownership, I'll likely be left with a crap house in a crappy part of town.
  22. I'm not sure I want to live in the same neighborhood as your car. Though, our cars were neighbors for quite a while. lol
