    Yea that is the part that I can't find much info online about and why this thread exists I did find some information from 2007-2008 but that is all out dated and I'm not sure it still applys

    Yea i might call them back. So i am in a 2 yr contract with them, so if i cancel i have to pay $20 for every month i have left ($360), or they originally quoted me $280 to have the installers back out. Looks like i will be on the phone with them today about this. if all else fails i will try it myself.

    I have moved and I am in a 2 yr contract with DirecTV. So I am going to install the dish myself and i was just curious if there was anyone on here who has done this before? or maybe someone that does this for a living?
