I have one of WD Green HD's (2TB I think) and it works great, just don't let the system go into sleep mode or you have to wait 2-3 seconds for the HD to come back up. As far as proc's i can't help at all there.

My vote is for the 2010+ body style. Headlights on the 2008 are :barf: to me

I would go with the first option, although i have no experience with this. I think the cameras in the 2nd option are lacking. My dad has a system like that and its not the greatest picture quality. you'd be hard pressed to get a license plate number from a car if its more than 30 ft away. I also like the ability to get notifications and view the cameras on your phone. Not sure the 2nd option would be easy to do that with.
