I could normally care less about NCAA basketball... hell, any basketball for that matter. But the other night, when Joakim Noah was on TV running his fat mouth about how great they are... I watched the Georgetown - OSU game with great interest; hoping we would have the opportunity to shut that little creep up. Go Bucks!

+1 What gives?

Simply not the case. I don't know why they would've told you that, but a bill of sale is all that is necessary. My best friend is a dealer, and I have bought numerous vehicles from him, obtaining temporary plates with simply a bill of sale. Think of it this way... a dealer is licensed to sell 30 day tags along with their vehicles. They cannot provide you a title immediately, therefore they issue you a temporary plate based upon the bill of sale. Even when you finance a car, you still have to wait until the title is transferred to get even a memorandum certificate. Call 614-752-7600... that is the main BMV's phone number. They should be able to clear this up for you. Now, if you have no bill of sale; that's a different story.

Yes, but a bill of sale is enough to get you a thirty day plate if you don't have a set of tags that can legally be put on the new car.

Sorry, I don't. I think the 20 piece sets all contain locks anyway.

If you have to ask....

I actually know the guy that owns this car... but I'm unfortunately not going to buy it. My wife says that if I bring home one more quirky, weird automobile, it had better be big enough to live in.

Rally lug nuts... P/N 90135. 12mm x 1.25 lugs, short shank. Go to any Advance auto parts and ask them to get you a set if they don't have them on hand. If they can't figure out how, ask for the manager. EDIT: Adding picture. http://www.rallymfg.com/V1/img/products/90135_L.jpg

I've heard it's gone downhill recently too. I bought my Z06 from there at 0% interest through GMAC with a 660 beacon in 2003. We also bought my wife's Cadillac from them a few months later. I guess none of the same people are there from what I've heard.

I've heard all the stories, yet every morning I've blasted through there at speeds I won't admit to on a public forum. I'm usually through there at about 6:30am; and since that exit to Gemini opened, I had NEVER seen a cop there. This morning, a state trooper was hiding just before Tire Discounters. I was running about 60 MPH, (it's a 35 zone) and he spotlighted me... but let me continue on. Cool cop, but now since I know all the stories are true, I'll pass that information along.

614-554-3506 Rick Short; also does excellent work.

Random euphemistic rephrasing of the above.

Stockish LS1 Camaros aren't fast. True story.

Probably is Mike's old car. Just to be sure, was it slow?

I live for such arguments. However, I feel pretty confident in saying that I am just a reasonable human being; rather than falling squarely into either wing. While my views generally fall closer to what most would consider the liberal end of the spectrum, I do deviate on certain issues. That being said, I have a feeling there wouldn't be much for us to argue about. Keith, I'll agree with most of what you've said, but I'm not sure this is the case. I can only speak for myself, but I personally don't feel this way. I think that spending tax dollars for welfare programs isn't Communist; it's the best we've got. Sure, the system gets abused. I'd venture to say that half of the people recieving public assistance are fully capable of working like you and I do but choose to make no effort. But there are some who can't. Do we punish everyone to make ourselves stand a little taller? Not so long ago, I was a 20 year old married man, with a 2 year old son. We lived in a small apartment with no air conditioning, and barely made ends meet. When I say barely, I mean that there were times I used to wade through the fountain at the Continent stealing change for diaper money. I knew it was wrong, but what to do? My folks could have helped, but I couldn't bring myself to ask more from them; they had done more than enough for me. The only time in my life I had to put something back at the grocery store was around this time. I had just waited for a young lady with purple permed hair, jewelry in her nails, and gold teeth to finish checking out. She spent almost $400 on steaks, seafood, and name brand cereals (among other things) only to pay with food stamps. No big deal, I guess. Except that she had a few twelve packs of beer at the very bottom of the cart. She paid for these with cash (I guess you have to) and sifted through 12 or 13 hundred dollar bills before finding a twenty to pay for them. That chapped my ass. Here I was, working my ass off, with $75 to buy groceries and live on until I got paid again... putting back a box of store brand cereal because I had gone over my budget. I have never forgotten that experience. (Can you tell?) Any sense of pride I ever had because I never applied for any assistance was out the window. I guess what I'm getting at is that for every person you see that weasels their way out of standing on their own two feet, there's someone who is trying but can't. I can't bring myself to feel that we should deprive those folks of the help they need in order to prevent Ms. Purple perm from cheating the system.

All I was trying to illustrate here is that IMHO, 50% of Republicans are fall into one of three catagories: 1) Wealthy, generally unsympathetic to the general welfare of others 2) Assholes, generally unsympathetic to the general welfare of others 3) Both The other 50% have legitimate opinions, and the cognitive ability on which to base their own decisions... rather than adopting the views of NPR spin doctors. Everyone has the right to their opinion. If there weren't people like us with different views, this country would be a cesspool of fascist behavior, or somewhere you might be imprisioned for not recycling your old pizza boxes. The balance between them is what allows people to coexist semi-peacefully with opportunities for all. But let's face it, the Republican party in general is biased towards allowing the wealthy to stay that way, and the poor to do likewise. I just happen to be for upward mobility; as unfortunately, not everyone is born equal or is afforded the same luxuries. Leveling the playing field every once in a while doesn't hurt, because not everyone who is wealthy deserves it; and not everyone who is poor deserves it. And for the record, We did allow a homeless person to stay with my family for half of last year. Yes, we knew him. No, I didn't claim him on my taxes.

Since when did the Iraqis fly planes into our buildings and kill people with AK47s? You can't blame the actions of some on everyone else. And what exactly was fucked about what I said regarding human life? Do you not understand what I was saying? I am saying that we are sacrificing the lives of young American men and women for NO GOOD REASON, and I don't agree with it. Reading comprehension > you. Since everything we say is a typical liberal response, by the same token yours is a typical right wing response. "Do you not want other countries to be safer and possibly help our own in the future?" Who the hell says other countries are safer now? Has attempting to convert people to our way of life irrespective of their own wishes made them safer? Has it made our soldiers safer? I think not. You were a little closer to the root of the issue with the end of that sentence... we're doing it to "help our own in the future"; plain and simple. I'm touched at the selflessness and patriotism you exhibited when you said you would pick up your gun and fight for people like me. While I am certainly grateful for the rights I enjoy as an American, you don't have to fight on my account. The common misconception here is that our soldiers are fighting to protect our freedom. We all know that isn't what's happening. Half of them don't even believe in the reasoning for being in Iraq. Quite simply, your chosen leader has put American lives on the line to accomplish a political and financially fueled agenda. I too, would fight to defend my country; but forgive me for not condoning a war that has NOTHING to do with defending it. I guess that's one of those pesky little rights I have as an American.

We "liberated" people not for the sake of humanity; but for our own personal gain. And by "our", I don't mean the American people. If that requires further explanation, you're hopeless. Did we defeat many potential terrorists? Sure, I guess. But by that logic, we should shut down all of the filling stations in the country because they're a fire hazard. Don't drive ever again. It's possible to get injured or killed. Don't eat... E coli might be lurking in your spinach. You get the point. I hate it when dicks say that our behavior is justified because we are operating under the guise of being the "good guys". (I'll spare everyone the George Bush double entendre jokes.) Following your Commander in chief blindly isn't patriotic, contrary to what some of you may believe. If you can stand in the face of a fallen soldier's family, and truly and honestly say that their loved one's life was given for a good cause..... then your grasp on the value of human life is seriously skewed. You believe strongly enough in your leader's convictions to go enlist with your local Armed Forces recruiter? I doubt it. Last but not least... a reminder. It is possible to support your troops but still think your President is a jackass.

FWIW, your reputation as far as I've heard is impeccable. Everyone I mentioned your name to had kind words to say... therefore, I'm sure you'll be seeing it in the future. It only seems to live a few weeks at a time between mechanical failures.

I already replaced it as I had stated in the previous post. I fixed the car yesterday; a combination of a few things was going on. 1) I suck at wiring. Repaired my botched ECM ground. 2) I suck at the obvious. Lower hose had blown off the intercooler. (due to elevated boost levels) This thing is nearly impossible to see from the top, and I looked right at it before and didn't notice it was off. Air leak after airflow meter= doesn't run. Now it runs great. I beat up on my buddy's Volvo 850 turbo wagon with it last night. He had it coming, I'd been seeing his taillights after the first 60' for a while now.
