  1. I appreciate the offer, but I hate 4 cyl Mustangs. If you're interested, the price is highly negotiable. I need to sell this car to help finance more garbage. Thanks!
  2. 1989 Merkur Scorpio 91K Miles 5 speed manual Runs great Needs brakes In case you didn't know, this is a rear wheel drive car.... you could be the next DK!! (I couldn't even type that with a straight face.) Driveable, if you're brave. I've driven it a few times, and it stops... loudly. This is a pretty rare car in a 5 speed, though it does have the typical Merkur gremlins. Radio not working, I think the factory amp is junk. Gas gauge reads whatever it wants to, but the distance to empty function works properly; so you won't run out of gas. Heated seats, heat blows hot, I don't know if the air works... but I doubt it. Clutch works great, transmission shifts properly. Mostly rust free, except for a few surface spots inside the rear wheelwell. Reclining rear seats work, though the leather in the whole car is rough. Power moonroof works and pops up, as do all the windows and locks. Was asking $950, but I need to sell it NOW. I'm open to all offers, maybe a trade if you have something 4wd or cool otherwise. It doesn't hurt to ask. Put some brakes on it (New pads with wear sensors go with the car) and drive. http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/76/hpim0415lm5.jpg http://img347.imageshack.us/img347/6297/hpim0414jl3.jpg
  3. I'm a constant advocate for kids toughening up; except in this case. My son is 10 years old, and I'm guilty of being a bit overprotective too. Kids that haven't grown up walking regularly have no business crossing busy streets without a guard. I had to walk four blocks to grade school in NYC and didn't think anything of it. That's just the way it was. I knew my neighborhood like the back of my hand, and you couldn't go anywhere without having to watch out for traffic. Keith & Shawn, I'm with you. We might be old-school, and a little quasi-macho; but our kids just aren't as "tough" nowadays... not to mention the world has become much less tolerant. Half of these guys on here would be the first to bitch about a kid-sized dent in their hood from hitting "some dumb kid who wasn't paing attention" while telling you to quit coddling your kids.
  4. I saw you on Polaris pkwy the other day.... bump for a nice Benz.
  5. Just ask. It's worked for me 30+ times before I had to get an attorney because they wouldn't deal with me anymore.
  6. Battery light on = charging system failure. True story. That being said, there are a few scenarios. 1) Alternator is defective. 2) Wiring problem(s) 3) ECM is defective. Happens all the time; Chrysler products for quite a while have regulated alternator output with the ECM. None of this changes the fact that you may still need a new battery because it was discharged when the charging system quit functioning.
  7. Here's the scoop on this lovely yard decoration. I bought this car on ebay for $100, put a new battery in it ($50), and had it towed from Marysville ($125). Quit laughing, I was going to dolly it home, but couldn't get the trailer harness on my friend's Jeep to work. Three of the tires are new and matching, one appears new but doesn't match. The interior has seat covers over the front, the rear isn't very nice. Digital dash, 170K miles. I only got it started once. It is nearly impossible to start, runs rough when it does, and the front exhaust manifold leaks. That's the good part. I think it has a rod knocking; I'm not sure if it's the manifold leak that's fooling me, but I'm going to say rod knock just in case. Body is in decent shape, no major dents, no rust. It's going to need to be towed home. I was going to fix it, but my wife is pissed, and I'll pick my battles. Make me an offer, the price is just there to comply with the rules. http://i1.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/7c/63/83b5_12.JPG
  8. Congrats, man. Looks and sounds bad ass. - Tarzan yell -
  9. PWN.....3D. Nonetheless, sorry that happened to you. I do tend to agree with everyone else though; I don't think three broken windows and a dead skunk qualifies as "random vandalism". Make sure when you find out who did it, they get a mouthful of 40 weight for stealing your SR20s.
  10. I can't believe no one has bought this yet. I've seen it myself... a little bit of work and a paint job, and you couldn't buy half this truck for what they're asking. I was going to buy it myself until the warden put her foot down.

Hey, I have one too. 89 Scorpio, needs pads & rotors. Runs great.. 5 speed manual.. pretty hard to find if you're into weird stuff. $950 or make offer.
  12. Nope... he says in the Buckeye version of "Ridin' dirty" that he's from "The south side of the C-O". On another note, I have to agree with the Dr... he's no Eminem, but his song "I have returned" isn't too bad; I've heard much worse.
  13. http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Norris This page in particular is funny, but the whole damned site cracks me up... I've never seen it before today!
  14. Here is my 1st "muscle" car... 1989 GT. http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/ab9e478730.jpg
  15. http://www.columbusracing.com/showthread.php?t=27684 Please post an asking price.
  16. I thunk the werd was "irk". Fo shizzle.
  17. This is correct; SAE 30R10 hoses are required for in-tank applications. The exterior of standard fuel hose does not resist gasoline permeation. /dorkypartsstoreguyknowledge
  18. I've had a few of these.. I think they all had t-tops, but I could be wrong.
  19. Alright, I retract my previous statements. It was still ugly and gay.. but fast. Very impressive. That is all.
  20. Stock 1996 Mustang GT 5 speed > Crown Vic cruiser. True story. However, same Mustang < Radio + 6 Crown Vic cruisers My friend spent 30 days in jail to prove this theory.
  21. So, let me get this straight. Your "top 20%" didn't show, yet you know without question that they would "mop" our top 20%? (Whose cars those are, and whether or not they were in attendance is arguable.) You come down here, realize Columbus isn't just full of 14 second Hondas, bring a proverbial knife to a gunfight, but NE Ohio > Columbus anyway? Foot, meet mouth.
