  1. Me, with my mother-in-law... circa 2002. I still look the same; and I think I might still have that shirt... http://myspace-599.vo.llnwd.net/01310/99/51/1310991599_l.jpg
  2. LMAO... I knew this was coming.
  3. O/T, but speaking of Coshocton... remember this? http://www.oznium.com/gallery/photos/full/4107/bobby-lee-ford-escort
  4. Man... as if being a midget wasn't tough enough; imagine getting owned by a slightly bigger midget. That's gotta suck.
  5. You think that's bad... search "turbo corvette" on ebay motors. There's an 04 TT LS1 car for sale that's making 398 RWHP.
  6. Fucking hilarious. I laughed so hard I almost passed out.
  7. It's on eBay, for any of you who might still be interested; starting at $150, no reserve. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320076960260&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.search.ebay.com%3A80%2F%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D320076960260%26fvi%3D1
  8. I checked them for him the other day... seems they're awfully proud of Honda engines.
  9. Quoted because I couldn't have said it better myself.
  10. Normally it would be in my nature to disagree with JP just because; but I can't. While I do realize the world has changed since we were kids, I don't think we need to rush out and buy our kids cell phones in the name of safety. Some of these "emergencies" we all experienced as kids taught us how to deal with a situation when Mom & Dad weren't around to save the day. While there are times it could be useful, I think it's much more likely to be shown off and abused than to be used for its intended purpose.
  11. Jesus.... it's not like he's asking twice what he paid for it. What he paid for it has absolutely no bearing on what it's worth. The concept of an asking price apparently eludes you; cheap asses around here will offer you about half what your asking pric- Oh. wait... you already did that.
  12. Yeah, well... a second assistant is basically a keyholder, and that's all. When I was a first assistant 4 years ago, I made $743/week plus quarterly bonuses. (We were salaried back then) Most qualified parts pros (Their title, not mine) are hourly... and make $15/hr and up. Like I said, it depends on who you are.
  13. That car is sold, to the best of my knowledge. It used to belong to a friend of mine. Sold on Ebay two weeks ago.
  14. It looks like a nice Miata. Look on Ebay, guys... $3K is the going rate for a regular old Miata of this vintage with good miles. Being offered less than it's worth is nothing to be offended about, though. Happens all the time around here. And no, I'm not leghumping.
  15. Clutch head fasteners.... are these the ones that look kind of like a straight slot with recesses on each side to prevent you from using a regular screwdriver on them? They look a bit like the symbol for infinity on the head? If so, NAPA used to carry the drivers... might want to go in and ask to see a Service tools catalog. Those used to hold body parts on old Chevys, I believe.
  16. Uh, $40 a month is pretty cheap. How big is the boat?
  17. You won't catch me saying much nice about them, but... I have news for you. Ken Winters was only acting on the word of Boyd Piatt, the area risk manager. The DMs don't come up with these theories on their own. I was robbed at gunpoint when I was working at the New Rome store 3 or 4 years ago... they insinuated that I might've had something to do with it too. I told Boyd that if he kept going down that road, he had better have proof, or a really good dentist. That's just part of their job. Unfortunately, innocent people do get fired.... just like anywhere else. Advance used to be a great place to work when it was privately held; now that it's public, the best part is no longer our people.
  18. Define pretty well. No, seriously... it runs well. The clutch is strong, and there's no grinding or anything from the transmission. The chassis is good and tight, but it could use some tires. They're not nice enough to bother just taking off and balancing them... So if you don't mind the steering wheel shaking, it's fine. I'm on the north end of town by the way.
  19. Believe it or not, the essentials aren't expensive. The buffets are cheap, the hotels are cheap. Gambling is not cheap. You can go cheap, but $500 is just about the bare minimum for 3 days if you're going to enjoy it.
  20. I don't blame you. I wouldn't try it myself, and I've been known to do some really retarded things in a car. Anyone else? It's about to be Ebay bound...
  21. I work at the Powell store (23 & Polaris). We do need a part timer or two, come in and fill out an application.
