  1. Yeah, I think I got sun poisoning on my nose. The rest of my face doesn't feel too good, either. But, it was worth it. That was a really good race, clean and had a historically significant ending (kinda). It was cool hanging out with all you guys. The sex life seminar was very nice, haha.
  2. Haha, excellent synopsis of the show. Yes, it seems they are starting to come around to some American cars.
  3. I've got Jesse's number, so if we don't see the rain fort then we'll call you guys. Hopefully there'll be a spot available near you.
  4. That car sold for $600,000 because it was for charity. Plus, they weren't bidding on the car that was on stage, only the right to have the first production model off the line.
  5. Damn, all we're gonna have is a little tent for the 4 of us to sleep in. Oh well, that's all we'll need for sleeping/passing out.
  6. No, that's no "special" edition, that's the regular Cobra. It says right in the article that they will produce around 8,000 per year.
  7. Mmmm...GT3. Awesome choice, best street Porsche of recent years, besides the new GT3. It's funny you're actually going to make the suspension stiffer, I hear they aren't exactley smooth in stock form.
  8. http://www.caranddriver.com/shortroadtests/9836/nissan-altima-se-r.html Here's a little info to help out the thread.
  9. "That's a pretty tall order, dude. You'd have a better shot at Bill." Haha, sorry, had to throw in a BASEketball quote.
  10. Awesome, you should be begging that guy to let you on his team for some races. It's what I would do haha. They nearly won the Long Beach race a few weeks ago. I told my friends that some CR people would be in the campgrounds. They don't care about hanging out with you guys. Plus, they're not douche bags (except maybe the one, he did get banned from here). We'll be bringing along some booze, but we're not sharing
  11. I've only had one surgery and that was having my tonsils out when I was young. I don't remember anything about it since it was so long ago. I do remember that I had all the popsicles I could eat while I was in recovery hehe. I've never been to the ER ever, no broken bones or anything like that. Having my wisdom teeth out was cool, though. It was much easier than everyone had made it out to be. I got 4 shots in my mouth and within minutes of it going numb, all 4 teeth were out. They gave me some Tylenol and I was able to eat dinner that night
  12. I wasn't sure what the paddock pass was when I went there for the first time, either. But, it was the best part of the trip. It can be crazy cause you have to watch your ass so you don't get run over by a race car on its way to the track haha. I really like how you can view the garages from above, it really lets you see what the crews are doing.
  13. I don't have a brother, either, but I still laughed until I cried. I imagine that's what it would have been like if I did have a brother.
  14. BMW's getting in on the retro game, too? No!!
  15. How about something normal, like Jack?
  16. Like I said in the other post, some friends and I will be there Sat-Sun and will be hanging out in the campground Saturday night, probably. It'll be me, Mike (strictlydatsun on here) and another friend who used to be on here till his ass got banned haha. My roommate could also be coming. I tried to get Nate's AK47 toting ass to come, but to no avail. I'll wait and see what you guys all figure out and go from there.
  17. I dunno exactley what time we're heading up there Saturday (there's 3 of us, possibly 5). But, maybe we can meet up in the campground area Saturday night. I know we'll probably be drinking once the racing's done for the day.
  18. A paddock pass does not let you into the pits. It allows you free roam of the garage area, but to get to the pits you need a seperate pass that's pretty pricey. The paddock pass is definitely worth it, it's only about 15 bucks. Anyways, I'll be there the whole weekend for the ALMS race. It looks to be a good damn time. Other than the ALMS series, there will be 6 other series racing. I look forward to seeing the World Challenge GT cars the most. My favorite spot for watching is in the esses. This is the best spot for the beginning, because they will be starting the race from the stretch between the keyhole and the esses. I also love Thunder Valley, it really lives up to its name. I've never gotten a chance to drive on the track, but would like to attend the school sometime. All I can say about the updates is that I hope they work out for the best.
  19. Alright, I've never heard of using two before. I was assuming they were roots type, I guess that's what was confusing me.
  20. I was wondering how it was twin supercharged. How exactley does that work?
  21. I'm downloading it as I type this, woot! Just follow the link in the first post. Click on the "Top Gear" link on the right side of that page and find the new episode (should be season 8, episode 1). That'll get you the torrent file of the episode, so all you have to do is use a torrent program to download it.
  22. I think the newer hybrid cars look pretty decent. The new Camry one, in particular. It doesn't look a whole lot different from the regular version. If I were to buy a hybrid, I'd get the Accord Hybrid. It's actually quicker than the non-hybrid due to the large amount of torque from the electric motor. Other than that, most hybrids are quite ugly (i.e. Insight).
  23. Ahh, indeed, it is. It looks really damn close to a 333, though. I shoulda known better, if it was a Ferrari it woulda been parked with the rest of them.
  24. All of those points are precisely why I'm a skeptic of all the gasoline alternatives being conjured up these days. If they can actually find a way to make "free" energy methods (wind, hydro, solar, etc.) work well then I'll be interested in this stuff.
