I've done all the work on my car except for the springs and struts. I wanted to make sure those were done right so my car wouldn't kill me going down the freeway shortly afterwards. I've had some help from friends (none on this board, I don't think). I like doing my own work because of the sense of accomplishment when it's finally done. But, I've never really tackled anything big, just small modifications so far. But, like most of you are saying, I could see myself paying someone more knowledgable to do some of the big stuff. It just seems safer and smarter that way, as long as the person isn't a crook.

That wing makes it look like a GT3 from the rear. From the front it looks sorta like one, but different enough that I love it.

I think it looks good, but I'm kinda dissapointed by it. I mean, it shares its name with one of the greatest racing cars of all time. It should have more in common with the original R8 than just the engine displacement and the 4 rings on the front. I'm sure they'll find plenty of playboys who are willing to pay whatever rediculous amount they ask for it, though.

Your best bet is to go out and test drive every car you are interested in. You'll get a much better feel that way than by getting advice on here, no matter how knowledgeable some of these guys are. That's my plan when I get the money to buy something better.

I like everything about it except for how it looks. The front end and back end look cheap and uninspired.

I hoped they knocked his ass out first. I'd be in tears after that.
