I'm stepping up my budget to include more track days this year, so I'm in. I don't care if I have to drive to Indy or Michigan, the chance to drive on a track is worth the trip. As for safety, what these guys are saying is pretty accurate. If we use simple rules for passing and offs, split into different groups based on experience, plus some good corner workers, it shouldn't be a problem.

This is something I've been annoyed with ever since I've been a fan: They bring their best game against the top teams (Red Wings, Sharks, ect.) but manage to fail against the bottom teams in the league (Islanders, Kings in previous years). There's just no consistency at all and it gets really tiring. I'm just praying for spot #8 this year.

I've read that the new Jetta TDI is actually in high demand and that VW expects to sell twice as many cars next year compared to this year.

I played with one Saturday and thought it was really slick. I had no problems typing on it and I thought it responded quickly enough. Too bad my upgrade discount doesn't kick in for another 2 weeks, they wouldn't let me order one for the lower price just yet Oh well, gives them time to get the software smoothed out a bit more.

Damn, that is good. They're kind of a natural band to cover that particular song.

The game is somewhere in California. My buddy's having a party at his place to watch it, followed by some FIFA 09 on the Wii, should be a good time.

Anyone know if Verizon will be getting the HTC HD? It looks like a better competitor to the Storm with its larger screen. I kinda like the Touch Pro, but it looks too bulky to be comfortable.

I've been reading some Blackberry forums and have seen a lot of posts about problems with the UK release. People are complaining about the gaps between the glass piece and the rest of the phone. Also, they are experiencing software problems with email and what not. I'm sure any issues will be worked out pretty quickly, at least I hope since I plan to get one within a couple weeks.

Once my "New Every Two" or whatever is up in December I'm planning on getting one, I've already decided without touching it. It just looks too damn cool. From what I've heard, the release date is early next week, but I haven't heard anything set it stone. I'll probably go to Verizon and play with one once they're out there.

Saw a commercial for Transporter 3 last night. I know the acting is kinda crappy, but I've enjoyed the other two pretty well. Plus, Role Models looks pretty funny.

Nope, #6 is accurate. The Koni Challenge series is the lesser series to the Grand American Rolex Series. It has two classes, GS and ST, with GS being cars like Camaro's, Mustang's, M3's and 911's. ST is tuner cars like the GTI (woo!), Miata's, Honda's, etc. Yet another excellent racing series with low popularity and even lower coverage.

http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/camaro-gs-racecar-concept By far the coolest iteration of the new Camaro yet. It will actually be available for competition in the Koni Challenge Series GS class next year, hence the GS name. Start saving some money and you too can be re-living the glory days of Trans Am haha.

I thought it was a bit of a let down, especially considering the hour to get there and then the hour and a half waiting in line. I'd rather be given a flashlight and let loose around the place in the middle of the night. Then there would actually be a chance of getting scared by something.

Should be pretty soon this fall. They've already filmed the first couple of episodes back in the summer. Probably taking their time editing it together.

I never had a problem with Australian accents until I watched the two episodes. Those presenters voices get on my nerves after a few minutes. Other than that, I think that if they separate themselves a little bit more from the original formula they can find some of their own strengths to work on. Right now it's just too much of a copy of the original.

God damnit, i wish I woulda made it. I intended on going but when I woke up Sunday I felt like shit. Looks like I'll have to wait some more.

It's been so long since I've driven in anger...I'll be there.

I wonder if the catapult works? -
How the hell do you play instruments? I can't impress the other tribes cause I can't figure it out. Anyone else ever play Black and White? This game is starting to play just like it.

I got a key to work, thanks for the offer Dave. This game is a little addicting.

Anyone wanna help me get a *cough* CD Key *cough*? I've found a couple but they aren't working...

I don't know if the driver they picked for this had experience driving Vipers, what I read is that he currently drives a Seat for WTCC. That's a huge jump in car right there haha. About the GTR's horsepower: the engines are all hand made so could it be there are huge variations between engines due to how they're built? I imagine they have ways to keep things similar, Mercedes and AMG have been building engines by hand for years without this kind of problem. Just a though... -
My short term plans are to get a little more serious about auto crossing next season. I plan to invest in some good wheels and tires that I can throw on the car the morning of the events, and possibly use them for more DE's at various tracks. Add to that some more suspension and brake upgrades and I should do OK. I don't really have the expenses necessary for a purpose built car, so I'm gonna take my daily as far as I can. I agree that experience with whatever car wherever you can get it is golden. Just in the last few months I feel like I've learned a ton, but I know it's just the tip of a gigantic iceberg, so I look forward to getting more seat time in.

Oh yeah, brings back memories. What was that thing in front of you?
-
Ha, I forgot about you, too. I thought that GT3 with the tiny exhaust looked familiar. Unfortunatly, I left early yesterday after noticing I was blowing oil out of my dipstick and oil cap. Looks like I broke my PCV valve, so I didn't wanna risk anything that would piss off the other drivers.
