  4. this is true, there is also massive devastaion in mississippi... whole towns have been completley destroyed.
  5. i like the bronze wheels, white car look. but
  6. KevinR: here is an interesting article that was published in the october 2004 National Geographic Magazine: http://www3.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/0410/feature5/
  7. according to the car mags, it will be turbocharged.
  8. actually they did predict it sort of... in 2000 i belive, FEMA released a list of possible major disasters that could occur in the US. first on the list: a terrorist attack in NYC, second was a hurricane hitting new orleans, and the third was a major earthquake in san francisco.
  9. you do know that when NO was founded, in 1718, that it WASNT below sea level, right? however after three centuries of shoreline erosion among other factors, the city has sank. lol that was an isolated incident that happened ONE time i love how everyone keeps bringing that up, and making it sound like everyone left in the city is sitting around waiting to shoot at a helicopter
  10. i could possibly be down. i dont think i really have anything to do that day... what part of town are you in?
  11. LOL. you do know that 30% of the people who live in new orleans live below the poverty line? you dont have any money to get out of town, so you pack up your meager possessions from your trailer or one room shack and go to the superdome or conference center where they just basically lock you in with 30,000 other people and dont help you very much at all... your shack/trailer has since washed away (which wasnt insured because, again, you are poor) and all you are left with is the clothes on your back. additionally, even if they DO have money, where the hell are they going to go buy food? its not like the mcdonalds on the corner is still open
  12. what is their definition of "putting your foot down"? does that mean actually touching the ground? or is just taking it off the footpeg at all considered putting it down?
  13. i went to your corvette folder, but this was the only pic in there http://us.f3.yahoofs.com/users/41e10a83za5b307ba/3f03/__sr_/7fe3.jpg?ph0IiGDBh.dqEzeW strangest looking vette ive ever seen lol j/k i see it hiding over there in the corner trades considered?
  14. I just donated a good portion of my paycheck to the red cross for hurricane relief. im sure that some of you probably live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to work, eat, pay rent, bills etc etc. If you are not one of those people, donate your a portion of your next paycheck to the Red Cross, or anything you can. Sure, i could use the money to go to a movie, or pay for 3 dollar gas, but the people there can use the money sooner than later. The situation down there is pretty bad. These are Americans, just like you and me, and id like to see them have food and fresh water. www.redcross.com also, im not positive, but i think you can write off your taxes the amount you donate too.
  15. i saw one the other day.. looks alright... kind of like a 49 suburban or something... the first time i saw it i thought it looked like a cross between a pt cruiser and a hearse lol.
  16. hmm that one looks pretty nice... ill have to go check them out. anyone else on here have an alarm on their bike or know of a good one? i was contemplating lojack, however it costs more than i paid for the bike... but its really a sweet system. once you report it stolen it sends out a signal that the police can pick up in their cars, and they track the vehicle down. their site claims a 90% recovery rate, often within hours of the theft.
  17. this month for me: gas 8.16, electric 114 water is covered by the landlord but its usually about 60 dollars a year.
  18. ok so im sitting in the living room playing x box around 11:30 tonight. i got the window open and outside in the street i hear what sounds like breaking glass... my one neighbors car got stolen, and 2 others have been broken into, so every time i hear something i check it out. so i get up and open the door and MY BIKE IS LYING ON THE GROUND and a car is speeding away... didnt really get a good look at the car at all unfortunatley. by the time i got outside it was already way down the street. so i dunno if they were trying to steal it or just fucking with it or what? i have a wheel lock on it, and it will roll maybe about a foot before it stops. i thinkthey tried to roll it away, then it hit the lock and fell over... too bad it didnt fall on top of the asshole... so now its 4 am and im still waiting for those fuckers to come back. no glass was broken anywhere, so i guess it was really just the sound of the bike falling over... anyway... my question is this: what is a good reputable bike alarm system? i want something that is pretty good, but not somehting that will go off every 15 mintues or whenever a fly lands on the bike. any ideas?
  19. ahh yeah thats right...forgot that it did that, because i usually just push printscreen and then cut out whatever i need in photoshop...
  20. also, AFAIK, you dont need to hold alt when you push print screen to capture a screenshot. im pretty sure you can just push print screen.
  21. yes there is. To get Print Screen to work in WMP, you need to uncheck the box next to Use Overlays; adjust your settings like this: http://www.osuweb.com/36/00056566.jpg
