  1. I purchased this laptop from Best Buy a little less than a year ago for around $1500 to play World of Warcraft and a few other things, but now have finished building up an even nicer workstation I play on and have been letting the Laptop just sit and waste away. Soooo.... As you see I'm selling it so that I can put that money that is going out the door from its disuse into something else I find I want to play around with. I'm looking for $750 OBO Specs are as follows: Gateway 7426GX 15.4" Widescreen Ultrabright TFT WXGA AMD Athlon 64bit 3700+ (2.4GHz) w/Hyperthreading 1MB of L2 Cache 1GB Memory DVD+/-RW ATI Radeon 9550 Graphics 100GB Hard Drive 6in1 Digital Media Manager (Compact Flash/MMC/SD/Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro built-in readers) Built-in Wireless 802.11b/g NIC/1-FireWire/4USB 2.0/1 VGA/1 S-Video/Mic-In/HeadPhoneOut
  2. FYI, I'm out of town right now but will be getting with everyone as soon as I get back in (late friday night or saturday) smile.gif
  3. We picked her up at Arky Barky in Arkansas. To be honest I haven't the slightest idea as to her weight, If I had to guess I'd say she was around 150ish but its hard for me to guess. Yeah, I kinda regretted having her fixed a short time later, but we had heard so many stories of how hard on the Giant breeds breeding is. Then again, maybe I did do the right thing, because I'd have a hard time letting go of her and puppies! tongue.gif In all honesty, she's a wonderful dog! She is a little shy with new people at first, but once she warms up you'll have a hard time keeping her out from under you, lol. And as mentioned before she loves to play with all sorts of other dogs (frequently runs with the various Neighbors Great Danes, Lab, and one rare occassion there is a little chiuahua-but since she's so big in comparison it always made me nervous she'd fall on him). And of course every so often she tries to get one of the cats to play with her, but the cats usually just give her an indignant smack on the nose lol tongue.gif You are right about thier temperment, that was one of the reasons we chose the English Mastiff, very very good temperments and very family friendly. Tomorrow night would be fine, I'll PM you my phone number and we can get together on the time and how to get here.
  4. I can email a few for those who are interested. I know I have some around here.
  5. As my life and finances have changed drastically I must restructure everything within it. I've come to the point I can no long dedicate the time or money for my lil girl (err, well big actually) that she deserves. She is AKC registered as 'Simply Divine', she responds to 'Diva' though. She has her own crate (Giant sized of course) and she is extremely gentle. She has been raised since a lil pup in a house with 4 cats so gets along well with them (thinks she is one at times I feel). In the summer time she plays in the field with all the neighborhood dogs so has been socialized. She has also lived for the last 3 months with an 18 month old in the house and is no danger to kids as well. She has been a house dog obviously since she is crate trained. As far as dogs go she's submissive, the worst thing you would have to worry about her with a stranger in my experience is that she would bark at them or submissively pee, lol. She is very affectionate once she knows you and loves to lay next to you (thinks she's a lap dog). I paid $1500 for her as a puppy and obviously paid for all the shots, crate etc. She eats 2 small jars full of dog food a day (no more than your average dog) just be sure to get Giant Breed food (or Large if you can't find giant). She knows the following commands: Crate Sit Stay Go No Off Shake Speak Growl Down OK Slow Gentle She really is my pride and joy, and sadly the current financial state of my life cannot see her the life that she deserves as well as the travel schedule coming up on me now that I live alone. Someone please find a home for her that she can be loved and happy. I realize I've lost all the money for her, but as other pet owners know its not about the money and I just want to see her happy. She will come with her crate, pinch collar, leashes, and any toys that have survived her playing lol. Be prepared to share some of your personal details if you are intersted in taking her as it is more of an adoption than just me dumping her off. Thank you all for any help you can give me in finding her a home. The next step for me is to see what I can do with the cats, 2 are gone (one with ex-wife and the other to a good friend). Maybe when everything is said and done I'll be able to keep them.
  6. Duh, I should clean house more often. It's empty now. Sorry about that!
  7. Would love to, but along with everything else, the company phone and laptop are gone too (had all my phone numbers and other things in it). Can you PM it to me? BTW, Good to see you guys are still around here too.
  8. Thanks for the well wishing, things are coming around quickly, so I've very optimistic All I have to do now is get one of these postitions out there that are showing interest. Easier said that done.
  9. Sad to say it was the vette and explorer. So now I'm driving these manly of the three cars, lol. Oh well... If someone will hire me and put cash in my bank I still have a chance to snatch them back. I'm going to go insane without a nice fair weather sports car to work on and drive around. Of course, maybe this is my chance to get out of the higher dollar cars and pick up an old classic later that needs a little love Hehe, I'm not into your game nights-you guys are playing the games I have very little love for. tongue.gif Remember, I'm a fantasy online gamer-not a wartime first person shooter hehe. I told John that I had things going on that weekend anyhow. I have some friends from connecticut and thier staying with me until they found a job (promised to help them out before things got as bad as they were). She just got a job with with Honda so they will probably be leaving soon into a new house closer to the place she'll be working and her hubby will be going to school. So my weekends are becoming more open. John mentioned there might be a slight chance at a superbowl gathering, but never heard anything else on the subject so I guess that fell apart, smile.gif . I've been telling him we need to get together at BDubs sometime on 1/2 price wing night and let me fill you guys in on the WHOLE story with my marriage and job and everything else.

  11. I hadn't checked with National City, I know that JP Morgan Chase/Bank One had a few openings, but they are slow to respond to many of them from my experience. My step father is pretty deep in that company on the IT side so I'm working that angle for sure. I'll give National City a look over to see what they may have. Like I said earlier, I'm to the point that I may have to take a small step backwards in order to get back on my two feet to stand. Thanks Jenn!
  12. Thanks you two. Things are starting to come full circle now and there are some very happy things developing in my life now (new relationship developng). It was very hard for me through the holidays alone and jobless, but I survived smile.gif For a while there I shut out all my family and friends and just rotted away in the house. I'm glad that that part of my life is over and that the divorce is now done. I don't regret the time and past we had together, but that's it. The things that were done can never be changed and hurt me too deeply to ever wish I could go back. I'm finaly able to stand on my own feet again and am starting to get back into the social circles (as you can see I've found my way back home here, hehe). So now the only thing really missing is income, something I hope to resolve very soon!
  13. Don't tell me the markets bad for IT right now!?!? I was just hoping that it was just a stroke of bad luck (REALLY bad luck with everything that happened to me the last few months). Sounds like I'd better start stocking up on canned food, cuz it's going to be a long cold winter! You get any good leads that want more than one CJ let me know. I put a little more info in the 'The Meat Market' on some of my skill sets. I'll do the same if something bites and needs more people. Things have to get better from here for me, I've already hit bottom so I've got to go up from here. I refuse to 'dig' my own grave! tongue.gif
  14. Yes, I know that many of you probably think I dropped off the planet, but I'm still alive and kicking. In a nutshell in the months I've not posted my wife ran out on me (details not to be given publically), my job was terminated, and the bank has already claimed 2 of my 3 cars. I'm now at a point that I've got to get back into some work fast. I've got 8 years as a Specialiast Syst Eng/Admin (Used to be called a software specialist III prior to new naming structures). When I left nationwide I was making 72k/yr so that is the ballpark I am looking for to keep my quality of life (which is quickly falling away). Depending on the job and benefits I'm not turning any offers down without hearing them though. Here is a rough pasting of the general sampling of my skillsets (those who might have leads I can send a resume to in office format): SKILL HIGHLIGHTS (Most All at the Enterprise Level): Overall Domain Administration - 11+ years Experienced with a wide variety of networking domain structures and administration specializing in Microsoft infrastructures. 15. I'm of the 'keep your FI' camp. You've put a lot of work into your car and it's coming more into it's own with every little detail. If it's more power you're wanting, you have many other options that don't undo all the work you've already put forth. You've already lightly mentioned driveablity which is something to think about... If you ever wanted to enjoy your car on a more 'extensive' outting you're going to have a lot more fun and comfort with the road manners of your FI over a massive change of the nature you've proposed. If you are truly wanting it to just be a light street/track/show beast then you might as well gut out the other conveniences as well. Bottom-line, you've done a great job with your car as it's a work of art in itself, but that configuration is no where near completely tapped out on power. Keep the F/I and build it up to the specs you want with what groundwork you've already begun laying...

  18. Keyword: Other girl didn't work out? What happened? I thought you were still with that same girl from - errr I forget now but it was the lady you were with a year ago or whatever. Sorry to hear that (unless of course it's what ya wanted). The Vette: Good advice, but I wouldn't call that gay... It's only gay if you want to open the door and take an opportunity, but don't and instead end up at home crying in front of soap operas or some crap.... tongue.gif To All (stirring the pot): Someone oughta help this girl out *without* taking advantage of the situation-unless of course it's what she wants too; the chances of that are slim to none-so given that why don't one of you step up to the plate and do it just because. Chances are if she only has $30 to spare then she probably needs to hold on to it...
  19. My wife and I saw it this weekend as well and thought it was good. The thing that is bringing about the negative word of mouth reviews for this movie the most, is the fact that the trailers and anticipation made it played it out to more of the horror movie going crowds when the reality of it is that it's not the niche it should be in at all. People going with this expectation will be pissed off (the guy sitting next to us got up about 2/3rds through the movie, after he figured out what was going on, and left). They really should have probably made the movies plot more clear to get it into the right 'market' for the people who like this genre of film. Personally, I enjoyed not knowing it fully up front, made it more interesting for a change. Too many times these days it seems the best parts of the movies are in the trailers and the whole story is already told in them. Kind of defeats the purpose of shelling out the cash for a movie...
  20. Sounds like a cinch to me... Much less labor intensive than many of the other things we've done for sure, lol. Thanks for the run down and the offer for help if needed. smile.gif Thanks! I'm going to eyeball it myself with the Jack and stands first to see how it looks, but more than likely I'll give you a call so I can keep the stock piece whole. I can't imagine it taking more than 30-45 minutes, of course as with all 'shadetree mechanic' declarations those could be famous last words, lol. Either way, 'you the man' just for making the offer!
  21. The long term solution is to definitely buy myself one of those little $1k garage lifts...
  22. Maybe you said that you were shakey then? tongue.gif
