Thanks! I have looked into the Idea Foundry but currently I'm fortunate enough to apprentice one on one with an accomplished smith and he isn't charging me so I haven't really looked into it in depth.

Me too. It looks delicious. Get the surgery now. Don't procrastinate. I had hernia surgery this morning and literally everyone said I did the right thing by getting it all set up and handled soon as I realized it even though it wasn't causing me major pain. Future you will thank yourself. Take advantage of the benefits.

Best way to do it, IMO. We got lucky with the '49 we found outside of Flint. The Fam '52 has cab rust we're dealing with now but it's got too much history for us to not keep it.
