  1. I lol'd. I use to think my 1992 Tercel would be "it". JP had a POS 1995 (IIRC) Tercel that HE though was the shit. Ope! Our bad.
  2. You do you. I think you made big upgrade here, stayed in your budget (responsible), and can still have more fun that you ever did in your RX8. Don't let this ogre's reaction affect your joy: That guy can't beat you in the 1/4 or the twisties. Kerry, love ya bro. Nothing but fun and respect. You know that.
  3. Older vehicles are harder to get loans for, insurance is higher in a V8 (typically), and maintenance and gas costs are higher. Really well actually. Already got booked for 6 blacksmithing gigs total this year (all paying and turned down 1 other) PLUS sales, sold a $200 knife with sheath a couple weeks ago, finished 3 commissioned re-handles/revamp's of old blades with 4 more in the works, and have the books closed because I'm not wanting to take on more since I'm starting a new career that pays far more than I was making which also provides a company vehicle and credit card yet leaves me kind of uncertain schedule wise (although I basically make my own now it seems) and don't want to have customers left in the dark since I have an order of 50-100 handle jobs potentially. I also have or have lined up to make a few grand already this year playing music. I really appreciate your concern. How's the lawyering and the 3 pedal automatic non-running GTO coming along? Check your grammar and yourself. I don't put my entire life online. EDIT: Are they still hobbies if you continually get paid to do them? I'm confused.
  4. If he went out of his range to get a V8 you'd rail on him for making a poor financial decision and ask what his dreams and aspirations are then query about his career game plan. Time to get new hobbies like fixing non-running cars or motorcycles or something.
  5. I mean this without ANY sarcasm: NICE! Now, go find Clay one and find me about 12 for that price please. Won't happen.
  6. Typical CR responses. Clay: "Hey guys, I need a gas sipper. Pref FWD 4cyl with 4 doors. Whatcha recommend?" CR: "Have you looked into a Veyron?" Howard already answered your question for your price point. $200-250 doesn't go as far these days. That's the price point for a break action single shot 12 gauge new. A Remington 1100 would be a great suggestion so if anyone can find me one for $250 or less let me know and I'll buy a few. "It's a little more," typically doesn't mean, "it costs 4 times what you want to spend." Semi-Auto $200-250 Pick one. Unless you're talking some crap brand you aren't finding a good one for that range. I love Benelli shotty's. Great suggestion. (Yeah, I am pretty sure this is a sarcastic response, but just to help Clay I've provided a link.)
  7. FTFY. You're welcome.
  8. I don't bring beer into an evening of fine bourbon drinking. Make it 5 bourbons and a scotch.
  9. FTFY. : gabe : ...won't argue that point. I (and prob others) was unaware. My bad. I took it as you lol'ing at Tom's offer as in "it's just a V6 lol". Lack of context got me.
  10. Been there, seen it and a million others. I heart DR. As stated, I'm strictly speaking of personal experience. Hard pass. FNP9 > *. 12 folks in my CCL class. 4 were HP. All 4 failed. In separate instances my buddies HP380, another friends 9mm, and another buddies .40, have all failed several times over. Better than nothing but far from something I'd want as my first choice. YMMV. I've put thousands of rounds through HP pistols and carbines (3 calibers of pistols, 9mm only on the carbines). Not gonna bash. Just gonna leave it at YMMV and that's fine.
  11. There are as many folks on CR that fire their firearms more than once a quarter on Columbus Racing as there are racers on Columbus Racing.
  12. Encouraging way to get others into the game.
  13. I prefer Juicy Fruit for my truck gum. To each their own. I've yet to find a Glock that I can justify owning when FN's in the same price point and works far better for me. I'd trust a Glock to work. That's the only thing I like about them. Hard pass. Only HP I'll own is a carbine. In my experience I've had/seen the .380, 9mm, and .40, pistols all perform terrible and fail. The carbines I've abused to no end and it just works and stays dead on for years.
  14. So nice of you to give him permission to do what you want to his car with his money.
  15. The body is also magnetic mainly. Either way you need to get you an AM820 bumper sticker now. It lets you drive like an asshole but still get to heaven I think. EDIT: LOVE the new avatar.
  16. Yeah...I was talking about Kerry being jealous that his little 4 banger is lacking. Congrats on the new ride.
  17. Just got home and watched. El. Oh. El. Like locks on an old truck? : gabe :
  18. Someone's jealous that his 4 banger is slower than a lady 'stang.
  19. Roman soldiers drew penises all over Hadrian's Wall more than 1,800 years ago.
