lol join servermatrix #TAU sometime. I play under the tag of Razorback there also. Maybe we'll be so fortunate to be on opposite teams sometime.

I'm a bit of a Halo addict. I play FarCry some as well. Waiting for Doom 3.

Right on. I wouldn't be walking anywhere in the middle east without a fully automatic weapon or six and definitely not alone. Obviously this guy and his companion were ambushed. I would rather die than be used as a bargaining chip that would cause my family to go nuts with worry. I'd rather have them know that I went down fighting and that I WAS dead and died quickly instead of having my head cut off on video or being beaten to death in a cell. But that's me.

The PCM basically is an input/output control module. It's plugged into everything electronic on the car that takes a reading. Your O2 sensors, MAF meter, sensors on the motor like knock sensors, throttle body opening, etc. etc. etc. (there are a lot, heh), and all it does is decide how much fuel to add in and how much timing to add or pull after considering what the O2 sensors are reading and how much air is coming in through the meter. It will also throw check engine codes depending on situations and how far sensors are reading out of specified ranges and the like. This is how the PCM on 4.6 Mustangs work. I can't speak for a Dodge as I've never owned one. Hope that helped with a basic explanation though.

That's pretty fucked up. I've had cops pull up next to me before and ask me to rev it up for them. I inclined, and every single one has told me that it sounded good and drove on their merry way. You must just have run into one cockmunch.

Yeah it probably said S281 or S351 as Saleen did not put a 381 ci. engine in any of their cars. It could've been a custom job by the owner though.

Ain't gonna happen man. I could build a system that would absolutely stomp what you just described for $200 cheaper, heh. You're better off upgrading what you have and selling the individual parts on ebay. Good luck.

Maybe I can convince my dad to get one if they look nice. He used to have a '68 4-speed and I know he'd probably love to get another one if the styling was good.
-
Well that sucks! Any engine damage? How's his car doing anyway? Anything new done to it? Last I talked to him he was running around 12.3x or so at Trails and hadn't done anything else to it.
-
Eh, not necessarily. I've seen quite a few run around on stock boost (9lbs) for a while as long as they're not kicking the crap out of it every other gear. But I agree, any Cobra before '03 meant to be putting 400rwhp+ to the ground really needs a forged shortblock. Definitely why I forged mine! (Vortech on the way )

Maybe GM realized their mistake and will start producing a new GTO next year instead of a RWD V8 Grand Prix. One can only hope.

Chad broke his blower? How?

If there was a way to hurt the oil companies, I'd be all for it, but one day won't do anything. As a whole though, I know I don't go out as much with these rediculous gas prices, and when I do I try to complete any and all errands and stops I have to make in one trip around the city.

Well I got to see it last night. Awesome movie. I honestly can't think of anything that I disliked about the movie. Fighting was great, the actors all did such a great job with their roles, costumes were awesome, and the story was told with absolute precision. My girlfriend didn't know anything about the story before going in, and afterward had no questions about the movie and she's not even into these types of movies. I rated it 10/10 on imdb.com (and I don't give out many 10/10 ratings).

Forgive my ignorance, but I was under the impression that it was against the law for an officer to forcefully search your car without a warrant, that they could "peer" into the car and see what they could see, but that they were not allowed to force you to open your trunk or hood to let them look around unless they had a warrant to look for something specific? Has this changed? I haven't been pulled over in a LONG time, so I'm not really aware of the changes. Thanks.

Hey, yeah I remember you. You got a brand new Civic like two years ago right? Didn't you have Thorne's class with me around the same time and I saw you out there at Trails once or twice? And yes, I still go to DeVry. Graduating with the first degree this summer and going back for one more year for a second. You?

Yes, that 12.70 run was on slicks. 1.70 60'. I'll be there tomorrow (assuming it doesn't rain out again), so maybe I'll see ya there.

Mowgli: From the trailers I've seen (and I've been anticipating the movie for some time now) it looks like kinda half and half. In some scenes he acts like an arrogant ass. In others he's not a bad guy, but I think for the most part they kept him arrogant. I dislike Paris more than anyone else. He's a spoiled little pissant. Can't wait to watch Menelaus kick his ass (until it's stopped anyway).

Welcome. I'll probably see you out on Friday night Street Legals. If you have any questions while you're there, come hit me up. I'll probably either be standing near my car or sitting in it while in the staging lanes so feel free to ask if I can help you with anything. smile.gif Welcome to the board.

Hey do you guys do just a standard 3 pull dyno w/ air/fuel? I know Dyno Brian does that for $65 or something. I'd kinda like to see what she's putting down first and what my a/f is before I actually set up for a tune as I may add a blower before the tune, but it'll depend on how the car's actually running as of now. Also how far are you guys from Gahanna (east side of Columbus)? Thanks.
-
Thanks.
-
Anybody around here that does just a standard dyno on short notice for a good price? smile.gif

Who's the closest to me (I'm in Gahanna) that could tune a 96 Cobra? And what would be an estimate on cost? I have full exhaust, would have IMRC deletes, and I would also want the exhaust codes (for offroad equipment as well as the IMRC codes obviously) deactivated so they won't throw codes and put the car in limp mode. Also can my limiter be raised and fan be told to kick on sooner? Thanks.

I agree. We all know Ohio weather is pretty insane, but weather.com changes their forecast for a certain day every hour up until that day actually comes, and then it's usually still wrong. smile.gif
