  1. As of right now my plans are: - 454 CI LSX - Not sure on heads or intake - 242-248 114lsa cam, maybe bigger - 1 7/8 LTs - 150 Shot of N20 HP goals are at least 575 RWHP and 550RWTQ and to be completely streetable.
  2. If we didn't have unions, especially in our past, this country would be a lot different. How many of you like a 40 hour work week, like to get paid overtime and like to work in a safe work environment? Please at least do some research on what a Union is for before hating them entirely.
  3. If it's not going to affect your wife and 2 kids, then it might be worth it. Yeah its more money but less days off per month.
  4. It's Scott Settlemeyer signature, he sign my car when I was at the SLP day in 2002.
  5. With so many options, it more depends on your wallet........
  6. With your 2 kids, wife and job schedule, it will be VERY hard, but you are determined and if you work hard, you should be ok. In the long run, most companies don't give 2 shits where you got your degree from, as long as you have that piece of paper. If your company will pay for it, you can find the time, why not go for it?
  7. I'd guess more like 10.70's on the spray
  8. If you get it to hook up and shift right, mid 11's should be cake, nice numbers, especially for an auto!
  9. Don't have the rear end yet, going to order next week. Just getting things lined up now.
  10. If you have a portable welder, overall it would be a lot easier since it will be ready to weld at my place. The rear end has to be installed but hanging when you weld them on according to what UMI says.
  11. I am going to get a 9" soon and I need a few things welded to make it road worthy. Who do you guys recommend on here that is a great welder and can travel to my house? I need to get some LCA brackets welding on like this and possibly weld on some sway bar brackets like these Thanks.....
  12. I have 2 LS1 PCMs sitting in my garage....... Let me know.
  13. You gotta go to this tomorrow. http://www.torks.com/JetScramble/index.html I've been there a few times and the event is amazing. They have real turbine engines in the jets that function and sound like the real thing, most go over 200MPH
  14. I'm in the market to get a new rear end since my stock 10 bolt is shot, I'm going to get a 9" but I'm not sure what rear gear to get, let me explain. With my stock tire size and stock rear 3.42 gear, I hit 140-142 MPH on a dyno at redline (6,700 RPMs) in 4th gear. If things go the way I hope in the next 2-3 years, I will have a LSX 454 under my hood with a 100-150 shot of N20. Should make at least 580 RWHP N/A & 680-725 RWHP on the N20. I'm not sure what gear I should go with, 3.70 or 3.90. If I make that much power the car should be mid 10's in N/A form and low 10's when I spray. With that much power and ET's my MPH will be up there. My concern is, will I run out of gear and have to shift into 5th when I'm on the N20? I'm going to guess that I might hit 135 MPH in the 1/4 on the N20. I know that if I run MT ET slicks at the track it won't be much of an issue since they are taller than stock tires but I will be running a stock tire size on the street so I don't want to go to high of a gear. 1st gear will be a joke anyways with that much power but the higher the gear, it will be that much harder to lay into it when in 1st and 2nd gear on the street with stock tire size. Since I know my goals, I only want to buy one set of gears and be done with it. Thoughts/Opinions? Bill
  15. For some reason I thought your wife worked. Didn't she do a cater thing before? Good luck in finding a good job, as I said above, I'm sure my days are numbered at my job.
  16. Damn Casey, sorry to hear this. I'm not too sure about my job as well. Since we merged with Alcatel last year, we don't know our fate yet, but there is a good chance they will close us down within a year, especially if we don't get new products in here. I've been with Lucent, now Alcatel-Lucent for just over 10 years and have a 2 year associates Electronics degree, but it will be hard for me to get a job doing electronics in this town especially making close to what I'm making now. A big thanks goes out to the governments for outsourcing all the good paying jobs..... Look at the bright side, your wife works and makes a good wage.
  17. Thanks for the review, I'm not a big fan of the paddle shifters, seems sloppy, more of a toy than anything for the average person. Hopefully GM will put the LS3 in the new Camaro.....
  18. My wifes 2000 GP GTP AC died recently and with these very hot days, it had to get fixed/looked at soon. I contacted AJ and he got it up and running again. It didn't take him long at all to get the job done. Thanks AJ, very much appreciated! Bill
  19. Thanks guys, anymore thats been around awhile? Bill
  20. I'm in the market for a new rear end, mines making some nice clicking, popping, grinding sounds when I turn. I'm probably going to buy a 9" with 3.70 gears. Before I install it, I want someone local to check the set up of the gears to make sure their done right. What shops do you trust in the Columbus area? Thanks, Bill
  21. Put it on a dyno to see where the power starts to fall off. How high of red line is due to intake, cam heads.
  22. I tuned a 427 C5 that put down 560 to the wheels and the cam wasn't "that" big using ported LS6 heads.
  23. Very impressive for sure! What are the cam specs? Are they in the 25x-26x range? What rear end is in there, a Ford 9"? Mid 10's in the 1/4 mile should be easy now (N/A) even if Anthony was driving the car... lol
