  1. For the EX WIFE????? Boy I really must be out of the loop, it would be a cold day in hell I bought an ex a car. I'm hope you have a good reason....
  2. I guess I wasted a lot of money taking tuning classes then....
  3. My friend is the new car sales manager at the Patalaska Chevy Dealership, if your looking to buy a new GM vehicle, let me know.
  4. Thats a big one. Hopefully when we go to back home over the 4th of July my dad, son and I will go out on the boat on Lake Erie and catch some Walleye and Perch.
  5. What codes did you set? If you have a decent SD tune, then enable the MAF and dial that in, if the MAF does fail the VE table takes over and your tune is still pretty close anyways since your VE table was tuned and not "guessed tuned" If your are at -25% Ltrims that means your PCM is pulling up to 25% fuel out since your VE table is not correct and your still using your NB O2 sensors as inputs for closed loop mode. Depending on the car and mods I can spend anywhere from 3-6 hours tuning a car, its a very time consuming process.
  6. That is because some tuners don't know how to dial everything in together. Brian is correct, you have to have a decent SD tune before you cal the MAF table, they work together to give you consistant results. If MAF sensors were not important than I don't think GM would have spents 10s of millions of $$$ to design cars/trucks to use them. I'm going out on a limb here but I think GM is smarter than all of us put together when it comes to the PCM tuning. After taking 2 tuning classes I learned why the MAF is more important than you might think...
  7. The truck MAFs are good too, just make sure you start out with the proper MAF table when you switch MAFs on a GM vehicle as a good starting point.
  8. The resistor modification is a joke, if you want a 85mm MAF just get a 01-04 LS6 MAF. I can't believe SLP is allowed to market that BS.
  9. Saw the movie yesterday, thought it was pretty good. Just the right amount of humor and the characters were great. Very surprised by how much Spock (Leonard Nemoy) was in the movie. Even though it doesn't follow the Star Trek line completly, but it explained why during the movie since there was time travel involved and the past changed. I wonder now if there is going to be a TV series after this, they left it wide open.
  10. I'd rather have my family safe than a payout from a large insurance policy, ditto back to you!
  11. Check out http://www.techskills.edu You get more and its cheaper... I'm going for my MCSA at Techskills right now and possibly the MCSE as well. Bill
  12. You would leave this on your wifes car while she drives your kids around ???? http://www.customls1tuning.com/pics/Bent%20Trailing%20Arm.jpg
  13. I soaked my wifes fuel filter many times, couldn't get it off, decided to have a dealer do it and they couldn't get it off, never got it changed...
  14. If I remember correctly, the threads go through the aluminum as well. A hammer and a good impact will be your friend.
  15. I had to change one out on my wifes GTP last year since it got bent somehow and what a pain in the azz. I just kept beating it with a hammer and it finally came out. I also broke off 2 of the 3 bolt heads that hold the LCA bracket to the body. Next problem I had was getting the stock bolt out of the LCA, that was a bitch too.
  16. This should help: http://ep.yimg.com/ip/I/wind-sun_2049_10471379
  17. Awesome car and very impressed on this IPS build. There is one question I have, did you know that you were going to go this far with this car (modding) or was that the plan for the Z06? A regular C6 would have saved ya $20K. Bill
  18. I'd love to play but my car is kinda being held hostage over at Mike Ward Racing....... Getting my 9" rear gears re-done AGAIN so it won't make any noise. Hopefully 3rd time is a charm! Fingers crossed...
  19. Congrats!!! Didn't know you were trying, this will be your first child right? I can't remember, I'm getting old like you. lol Good date, that's my boys Bday.
  20. you can get a nice used one LS1tech.com for around $325-350 shipped, just make sure you see some pics of it and the part number. Once you get it, you will need new gaskets as well, get those from Autozone, way cheaper than the dealer. Bill
  21. Just make sure you advertise, the more people the better. I love going to car shows, its a good networking model. Post up some ads at Jegs and the autoparts stores.
  22. Thats more the norm. It might be better to advertise 20-25 trophies, instead of Top 5 thats in the ad on the first post.
  23. Is this only for CR guys or is this open to all? If it's open to all and you only have 5 trophies to hand out, I wouldn't expect a big turn out. As some on here know, I've been to many car shows over the years and about half the guys I've talked to at the shows go because they try to win a trophy. Also make sure you have some door prizes and music. I'd bump it up to 15 minimum. Just trying to be helpful. Bill
  24. You need new coolant lines since the LS6 intake floor sits lower, the LS1 is "humped" up. Just make sure you get a real LS6 intake, many people have been screwed over. Check the part number. When you get LT Headers, get race ones so they don't have the EGR and AIR ports. Give me a call sometime. Bill
