  2. Thanks for the tips guys! I'm going to get a letter from my school and with a letter from me, hopefully I can get out of it. Come October, I won't mind it so much. Wish me luck! lol
  3. Hey guys, I got a notice in the mail that I have to attend Jury duty next month. I need to get out of it since I am going to be on my last course for my MCSA at Techskills and don't want to delay it any longer. I can get a letter from my school stating I am going to school "full time" but it might not work so need a back up plan. What are some legal ways to get out of it without looking like an idiot? I think it would be cool to do and be on a jury but the timing is all wrong for me right now. Help! Bill
  4. Great job on fixing that tune Brian! On average it takes me about 3-5 hours to tune a cammed LSx car, Its obvious that the shop doesn't have much experience with GM LSxs.
  5. We saw it a few hours ago and loved it. If you liked the 1st one, you'll like this one as well. In ways it kinda followed the cartoon from the 80's. The 3rd one is going to be great as well. Don't listen to the critics from the media, they're a bunch of idiots. We are going to see it again over the 4th and get it on Blu Ray this fall!
  6. It's paid for so keep it unless your not much of a car guy anymore. I thought for a split second about selling mine to buy a C6 but my SS was my first brand new car that I bought and have a lot of great memories with it, since its been paid for, it costs me very little to enjoy it. If you do sell, please wait till next year till we're back on our feet then we'll buy it at a fair price!
  7. Not sure if Im going to make it, my car will melt if it gets wet. lol If the roads are dry by 10am, I'll be there sometime. Bill
  8. When you add a cam to a engine, its not as efficent at low rpms thus having a lower VE number. Higher WOT rpms you will notice a good increase in your VE numbers.
  9. All 99-02 F-body will do it, no matter what color the paint is or car (V6 or V8). GM changed to a different glue in 99 so its only a matter a time before all of them do it. The more it sits in the sun the more bubbles you'll have. I tried to get mine fixed a few years ago and no dealer around here will do it unless you pay the big bucks.
  10. Well, I had an offer to just do a design for $200.00, which I think is crazy for a few lines of words and a 1 simple graphic, so my wife and I came up with something basic and printed out a few dozen on our home computer.
  11. I need to add a SATA controller card to my PC so I can hook up an external SATA drive. I just need a basic card with 2 internal and 2 external ports "NO RAID" Whats a good brand to go with for around $20-30.00? Bill
  12. This will be a great time like always. http://www.customls1tuning.com/pics/2009%20Roby%20Car%20Show.jpg
  13. Not that little, Thats more for a stroker engine!
  14. Whats the specs of the cam and who makes it?
  15. I'm looking for a stock ls1 cam out of a 2001 or 2002 LS1 car. Don't care about miles 9as long as its not damaged) but want to buy it dirt cheap or free if possible since they really aren't worth anything to most people. If you have one thats been in your way, let me know. Bill
  16. I did some very basic ones on my computer but want something more professional looking, I'm far from an artist thats why I need some help. There is a ton of good talent on CR when it comes to stuff like this. I've heard/seen of vista print before, not too bad but still need a good design.
  17. Anyone on here design Business cards? I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something that works, 3 to 4 color max. I'm willing to pay a few bucks for your work. If interested, please send me a PM with details and how much $$$ you'd want.
  18. Even though I'm unemployed, I'm busier there ever. Going to school full time, tuning cars, playing around with solar panels, doing things around the house, taking care of the kids/wife and enjoying the sunshine! Hope to see ya soon.
  19. congrats!!!! kids are wonderful! changes your life in a good way.
  20. I was there as well, took my DD truck (2006 Silverado Crew Cab) Only did 3 runs because I wanted to watch as well, best I did was a 15.1 @ 91 MPH

  23. Yes, in a way you are correct. Indirectly that is how a MAF works, airflow over the wires/elements. Temperature affects air density. Hotter the air, less dense it is.
  24. I was thinking of buying a GPS for the truck and with so many of them its hard to pick. I know of - Tom Tom, Garmin, Magellan Bigger the screen the better. I'd like to update it and have a decent battery life. In the recent Best Buy ad, the Magellan Roadmate 1470 looks like a nice unit. What are you guys using and what brand/model would you recommend? Bill
