  1. I must have missed that! And Anthony, I think joes point is this.... Be sure and give opinions based on the question asked. I asked for advice on choosing a high end ar15 based on opinions, experiences, and here say about them regarding which one to buy. A lot of people out there would rather try and talk me out of it. There's no need. I have already made up my mind to spend the jack. I just want advice on which one.
  2. Thanks Joe. I knew this had the potential to turn into a "you don't need it" or a "why spend a lot on an AR15" thread. Right now, I am leaning towards the HK (naturally) or a Larue. Still want to look into Knights, JP, Rainier, Noveske, and a few others.
  3. I used the term "level up". To me, that means getting a rifle with a better trigger from the factory, great barrel, nicer amenities (ambi safety), QD rail mounts, QD barrel systems (although not important to me) polygonal rifling (whether or not you buy the hype), other proprietary systems that help with cooling (rails, in some cases), piston system in some cases. I mean, (as an example) there is a reason why Larue is taking over the AR10 market based on accuracy alone (not what im after, just saying that their 3500.00 gun is better than the 1500.00 dollar average ar10) Anthony, a lot of the 2500+ dollar rifles leave that "milspec" arena with some of the refinements that they add based on innovation. Barrels, Billet pieces, geissele-or-similar triggers, custom or proprietary stocks, rails that QD and or have better cooling properties than most,...
  4. ^^^ Thank you. I think they make nice rifles!
  5. Brandon, did you get the Gen3 upper??? it is slick. Im into it!
  6. I have 3 308 guns that I enjoy (Ar10, R700, and an HK91). If I were to do anything I would "level up" on my AR10 (like I want to do with my Daniel defense ar15). Truth be told, the only 308 gun I shoot anymore is the r700.
  7. Joe, I am interested in knowing what you would suggest it takes to master then gun you have. I am capable of putting double taps within 1 inch of eachother at 10yards. I am capable of reaching out to 300yards on a 12x12 steel plate with my Aimpoint PRO. I feel like I can control the gun well and reload quickly. I am always looking to up my ROF (thinking about the Geissele SD3g trigger). For what I do with my guns (go to briar rabbit and plink), I don't know what else I should be getting better at. Suggestions would be great!
  8. 556, and I'd like to try piston. But not married to the idea. I have heard the HK piston system is really nice (from a non-fanboy if you can believe that).
  9. See, that's what I am trying to get away from. I've sold all my franken-builds except for two (assuming that you are talking about the ones you built).
  10. I don't think you are off base. I appreciate the suggestion. Though, that's not the route im going to head at this point in time. Thank you regardless.
  11. Just attempting to go up a level. I'm selling my Daniel. Same as I use all my guns for; going to the range and having fun!
  12. I have no reason other than they do not appeal to me.
  13. I wanted to get opinions on a good 2K-3k ar15. Currently Considering: LARUE OBR LARUE Predatar HK MR556 Noveske of some sort And, a wildcard. FN Scar Thanks for your opinions. please feel free to toss out others!
  14. I never got past holding one. The concept is really cool. but, I only had to shoulder one once to know it was not a good gun for me personally. Frank had one for a minute. Frank? You still have it?
  15. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Downloaded. ADDICTED!!! @ 12
  16. Cool. Don't get me wrong guys. Briar Rabbit isn't some super clean state-of-the-art facility. But, its got a covered rifle range where you can hang steel targets every 50 yards (basically). And, I have 4 steel targets that have withstood dozens of rounds of 50BMG. Here are the targets I have. And here is a bad picture of the range. The mounds are down the left-hand side. Each one is 50y from the next.
  17. Outdoor, 350y rifle range. Trap/skeet, pistol range with steel knockdown targets
  18. Im in for Blackwing or Briar Rabbit. For those who haven't been there; Briar Rabbit is worth the drive. Just my opinion though.
  19. Around the time of Florence Nightingale?
  20. just buy a red Gshock.... probz solveszzz
  21. Easier to disinfect after cath insertion???? Who calls them "wards" anymore?
  22. ...says every 30k millionaire who trolls the arena district.
  23. Dover, I have both, feel free to come try them on
  24. LEPD staff seems trashy and greedy. Seems like a family business of scumbags. Been there twice. Do not plan on going again.
