  1. This I am learning from others who have recently said similar.
  2. Taken from CMMG website. "16" 416 Stainless Steel, 1:10" Twist, 5/8-24 Threaded" Here is the link: https://www.cmmginc.com/product_p/38AEA9A.htm Barrel is marked .308 Called them (CMMG tech service) before ever shooting it and asked what I could run. They straight up told me I could run .308 and 762NATO... I questioned that... and they assured me it was perfectly fine. The ammo I was using was the .308 herters yellow box (or TULA as someone said its rebranded). I have also heard that 308 is a higher pressure round than 762 NATO? is this true? If so, that seems backwards to the 223/556 debate.
  3. Gun's done, cost was zero dollars. But I do like gunenvy a lot... they seemed to be backed up a bit. Have fun at BR today!!! You want to go next Saturday? we have a group of like 5 people going.
  4. Not so fast, go back to post number 10 and make proof of your discovery.... you said"Didn't know what double or single action meant in February, now is a seasoned gun vet. " Then I said.... This is your call out to call me out.... GO!
  5. sounds like he wants attention just like everyone mentions in the first part of the original vid. soundtrack was horrible as well. your average nerd trying to stir shit up.
  6. As a point of clarity on the ATF discussion. I had the chance to see this "sleeve" in person and see the letter that it comes with from the ATF declaring its legality. its a pretty cool little unit if I do say so myself. seemed nice and rigid..... like a butt stock. hehe
  7. But hey, thanks for your useful contribution in my thread where I asked for help.......
  8. I was unaware that I claimed that title for myself. Do tell...? I believe (in my last post) I spoke about the copious amount of steel ammo I've run in my AR's and that I would not change that. Never claiming to be an expert. Hence the thread asking for help. For the record, I do not claim to be a "Seasoned gun vet". You tried to label me with that self proclaimed title. Remember that.... Do me a favor, look at the gun crew forum and see how many threads I make in search of info and help. Then come back here, and tell me why you seem to think that I think of myself as a "seasoned gun vet".
  9. I have had zero issues running steel through my various low and high end AR15's... And will continue to do so. The title of the thread was not "tell me that I shouldn't run steel case ammo". Your opinions on it won't sway me one way or another.
  10. Best steak is at the Pittsburgh capital grille. They have other locations but that's the best I've had. I also think that locally... Mitchell's is very good. Also, in third place would be the Signature Room in chicago. You might call it sacrelige but I always do some sort of Gorgonzola crust on my steaks, and hopefully some sweet red wine reduction under the steak.

  12. Mojoe, that is an awesome offer. I did take it to the powder room, they said it will be done in a few days for 10-15 bucks, thanks though, really!
  13. Hi guys, I was shooting steel case through my AR10 and a shell got stuck. We got the bolt to release but it took the entire bottom off the case and now the rest of the casing is stuck in there. 2 questions: 1. Can someone please assist me with the removal? I need to get it ready for next weekend. Thanks
  14. Reminds me of Jon Linn driving RC cars..................

ready for carnage.... BTW, Grant and I are going to briar Rabbit next weekend if anyone wants to roll. Also, I think we are going to try and shoot tomorrow as well. Let me know if you want to go (anyone).

  17. 8 inch weld on steel picatinny rail for sale. Bought it, twas too long for my application. Selling at a loss. or trading for ammo. 30.00 Bob Polaris 330-464-0774 http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/360219000/360219387/pix698949960.jpg http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/360219000/360219387/pix160676005.jpg
  18. plus shipping plus FFL transfer......................... what's an AR cost to ship? 45? 50? what's an FFL transfer? minimum 20?
  19. I'm not saying you couldn't. Most run of the mill ARs can be built for 600-700... But people normally don't ask for exactly what they have into them, right? To buy an assembled upper on average is 500-600 alone for a decent one... Though I have seen complete uppers for 350 plus shipping. Regardless, the trade here is uneven.
  20. Rock River Arms Upper - if its complete with BCG its worth 400-450 Yankee Hill Lower - 100.00 tactical flashlight - depends on brand foregrip - depends on brand 4 slot tactical rail with pads - could be 25, could be 200 bungee sling - could be 5.00, could be 45.00 1in riser scope mount - 40.00? 20/30 mags - are you saying 20 mags? say 10-12 bucks a mag. 3 position adjustable stock - Could be 25.00, could be 75.00, could be 200.00 Put it this way, most Frankenstein AR builds that aren't "super high end" land somewhere in the 700-1000 range. then, add 250.00 for magazines. BUT, if you post a pic I could help you much better. BTW - when he says 1500.00 he is stretching and using retail prices. I bet he has 700-800 into it in reality before magazines.
