its politicians lying comes naturally to them of course they are going to denying supporting something that had bipartisian support its an election year
try a little more carb first. if you run a spreadbore or can get an adapter I have an 850 race ready q-jet you can try out. if that doesn't make it pull harder try a good open plenum single plane like the victor junior. wieand and offenhuaser also make a couple of good ones for the small blocks(cheaper too). you also may be running out of cylinder head flow on the big end a good set of aluminum cylinder heads would show big gains on that motor.
hope this helps
we meet a mr geero every friday at 10pm come on out. I'm sure lots of us would love to own you as hard in public as we do on the internet.
have a nice day
I'm not knocking anyones shop, but if I got quoted a high price I'd want two or three other places to look at it first to make sure. all I offered was to maybe save a board member a few bucks by helping him fix it himself. anything wrong with that?
lots of good ideas here I'm for sure in the early research stage here so I'll be looking into all alternatives. ideally I'd like to start with a totally stock setup make it all work in the car and then mod from there. the car also needs a complete interior resto and paintjob so its going to get a it'll start and run drivetrain to begin with. lots of different stuff here I apreciate all the info
thanks
I'll take a look at it for ya. if anything I can just show you how to fix it. if you don't have money to pay labor thats where the biggest fees often come in. it isn't rocket science with a good shop manual and a decent set of tools anyone can fix up a car.
pm me if you want a hand
