  1. Called up Derek to ask for a suggestion on tires for my daily driver, 02 Monte Carlo. Walked in this morning and Dave set everything up. I was in and out in about an hour. The new tires are great. Couldn't be happier. Thanks guys. I'll probably have them do the alignment on my 86 Iroc. All new suspension and steering components. Needs one bad. -Brent
  2. Does anyone else have any experiences with Arrow? They are fairly close to me and I'll need something custom, possibly in the next couple weeks. I had Lasota do the first one and I was really happy with it. I just want to make some changes and he doesn't do installs anymore , he did great work.
  3. NHRATA- How about some specs on those engine(s)? The dual quad setup looks sick! And any other information you would like to share about the car...
  4. Kevin, Nice talking to you too! I got to see your car run someday, I'm impressed. Here are some pics of the work-in-progress ( w.i.p , Its a special edition IROC that only came out for one year.. ). http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/Irocdown1.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/Irocrear.jpg http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/RotorandSwaybar.jpg
  5. Brandon, Turned out great! And getting it done same day was more than what I expected. Thanks again!! -Brent
  6. I'm a Mechanical E. Went to school at Dayton. I chose it because I was fairly good at math and physics. However, now that I'm out in the real world I use maybe 20% of that. Design and creative problem solving are more the traits I use. The biggest hurdle in my undergrad was the math and the total credit hours, I barely had time to drink.
  7. I was wondering if anyone can weld aluminum? I have a cast AL waterneck I need modified. Lasota can but he's out of his shop for a week or so and I was hoping to get it done sooner. Thanks, Brent
  8. I take it you work from home? I bet that's pretty sweet. Do you travel out to Cali often?
  9. Yea, I hit the 33/270 traffic on a regular basis. I go through it around 7:10, that area has got to be next in line to get fixed. Most everyone seems to have an average commute. I just don't want to be in the car for like 45 minutes or something. That gets a little much.
  10. Where do you live? Where do you work? How long is your commute in time and miles? A job I'm looking at is by the airport and I live in Plain City. Says its about 27 miles on mapquest. The time says 33 minutes, but I might be inclined to say its longer? How is the northEAST part of 270 in the morning? Currently I work off roberts rd and its about 17 miles and 23-25 minutes.
  11. Cool, I'll have to give you a call Rolla. Is your shop in Westerville? Thanks.
  12. I have a little rust damage on my 99 grand prix. It seems like its just under the paint not all through the panel, but I'm not an expert. I think it happened from the gas cap constant rubbing the paint there, and some road salt in to the mix. So if anyone has any suggestions on where to take it I'd appreciate it. thanks. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l334/Irocstyle/GPrust.jpg
  13. I'm selling my carb, its a Speed Demon 750 cfm with mechanical secondaries. The part number is 1402010 and has less than 500 miles on it. Reason for selling is I'm going to fuel injection. $375 obo I also have braided lines to the carb that comes with it. PM or email me for pics. Thanks, -Brent
  14. On a positive note: It is Friday.
  15. I don't know of any places to off-road, but I'm sure people on here do.
  16. Cool, what plans do you have so far for it?
  17. Do you have any pics of it?
  18. Thanks guys, I actually called up Lasota, he lent me a ball joint press. It worked perfectly. Now I'm just removing/cutting/mutilating the old bushings out. The front springs were definitely not fun to work with. thanks again.
  19. Do you know of any shop? I don't have a torch or anything like that. Where are you located?
  20. Does anyone know a shop over in the Hilliard area that can press out balljoints? These are on the front lower control arms for my 86 camaro. I tried renting a balljoint press from the Autozone in Hilliard but they didn't have one, and the one from Advance didn't work. Thanks.
  21. The recovery thing is critical. You want to make sure your muscles are recovered before hitting them hard again. If you hit chest like 3 times a week, very hard, you run the risk of overtraining. However, an HST program works somewhat like that, but on the principle that you slowly increase volume. Most programs have you working out each muscle group once a week. It sounds like your diet/nutrition is ok. Your work out program might need to be changed up if you aren't getting the results you want. Not saying the one your doing is bad, or wrong, but you might need to change things. Like maybe adding/removing exercises. What time do you get up on the days you go work out? I know I can't just wake up and go work out right away.
  22. A good clean diet will do wonders. Stay away from fast foods. Eat plenty of chicken and lean beef. Also, eat often. Get a good breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, mid afternoon snack, right after you work out, and good dinner. Don't want to eat too much just before you work out. An energy bar or a little caffeine might help. Post workout, I enjoy a protein shake (optimum nutrition). I buy my supplements online at Allstarhealth.com. Make sure you get a good 8 hours of sleep too.
  23. I work out at the world's on Rome Hilliard. Pretty nice, I've been there for like 2-3 years. I think they're running some specials on membership prices. I'd at least go check it out. I usually get there at 4:15, after work. Yea, there are some big dudes there, but for the most part everyone seems friendly.
