kinda go both ways on this one. It sounds like you didnt buy your ultra maintenance sensitive Porsche from MAG? At what point do you as a consumer take it upon yourself to have the vehicle checked out right after you buy it at a certified Porsche shop? Or maybe even before you buy it? I'm sure your buddy meant no harm and as far as he knew, the car was serviced. However, the store you bought it from has no real expertise in servicing high end cars, right? Hell, I think it costs about 300 bucks just to change the oil on a Boxster. I get your frustration, but it's your baby now.

One issue does not define someone. I think each one of your opinions is based on a constitutional right to assemble. Believe it or not, I share your view at the end of the day. I will agree that if this mosque were disallowed, it would set a slippery precedent for unwanted govt interference. If they can do that, then they have nothing to stop them from doing something unwanted to me. Everyone wants consideration in this world. I don't think it makes anyone a bad person to ask for it in this case.

when has the national debt ever been paid down? We simply service it or add to it. Deficits have been eliminated. Debt has not. Right now the effects are nominal because interest rates are so low on treasuries. Once they go up, watch out. More and more of the govt revenue stream will have to go toward servicing the debt. This leave less and less for the general budget. Since we know spending is never cut, this only leaves 2 options. More debt or higher taxes. Do you really think China is going to keep buying our junk t bills and bonds when they know we are not paying it back in a timely manner? The next option is to raise taxes. Yeah, that will really stimulate growth. I guess the third option would just be to print more unbacked dollars and cause inflation to sky rocket. Maybe businesses are not hiring because they know their taxes are going up because of this unsustainable spending and debt? We keep hearing "once the economy picks up" When do your educated friends think that might happen? Why would it? What positive, pro business step has this administration adopted in the past 18 months? 1 trillion in "stimulus" and almost 10 percent unemployment? That doesnt even count the ones that have given up the search. Seems like spending (debt) has not done much to help the unemployed in your life. Its a big deal.

wow, thanks for allowing me an opinion. Mighty kind of you. Why wouldn't my opinion at least be tolerated? Because its not yours? Everyone preaches about tolerance until it hits the fan. Kinda funny. A tolerable opinion is a shared opinion now? Again, I have no beef with the Japanese people. They did what they did 70 years ago to win a war. They thought they were right and they fought for their beliefs. Personally, I would never visit Hiroshima or Nagasaki OUT OF RESPECT for the fact that there are probably some hard feelings over what happened. Is it legal for me to do it? Yep. Tolerance is a wonderful thing. It works both ways too. Maybe the folks who want to build this mosque should be a little more "tolerant" of the opposing opinions and find somewhere else to build it?

Is it illegal for Japanese citizens to visit Peal Harbor? Nope. Does it feel really weird when I see them there? Yep. Wonder why that is?

I just read an article on ESPN that says football practice in Dearborn MI is being held between midnight and 4 am to accomodate the Muslim players observance of Rhamadan. Unreal. However, since Dearborn in the capital of the Muslim population in the US, Sharia law has infiltrated the school system. Only a matter of time before this happens elsewhere.
