  1. Kinda dug it:) Made me feel young again!
  2. Anyone remember the bar down on High St. called the Flying Tomato? I think that's where this took place. Ahhhh, the good ole days. Like Florida kids wouldnt do the same thing. Nothing at all to be embarrassed about!
  3. As a Buckeye fan, I smiled.
  4. My 92 has the same solid grill, same wheel covers, and same two tone look! 92 was the best selling year so this one should rock!
  5. I hate stating the obvious, but you all know thats a joke, right? It's a goof.
  6. My wife and I got serious about saving when we got married. To all the guys in their late teens and early 20s, start saving now. Create good habits. It is possible to retire in your 40s! I wish I would have started earlier.
  7. If you can swallow the payment, believe it or not, your best bet is on a more expensive vehicle. For advance reasons. Obviously, money down helps.

Sweet ride...if you rolling in that now, I can't wait to see what you pimp when you are 30! Congrats!
  9. Where do I even begin? Obviously, you are your reputation as the "troublemaker" is in tact. I dont have to go back and explain my posts to you. I think everyone in this thread understands that EVERY car has problems, and these isolated problems do not create "BAD" cars. I appreciate you calling me retarded in this instance. I had a moment of clarity and realized you were right. Thank you for setting me straight. Your people skills are second to none. Yes he said the focus was a bad car, and we've seen numerous examples to dispute that. He had a bad experience. That's it. I can't tell you how many people like their Focus. My point exactly! He made a stupid generalization based on one experience and I called him on it. That's it. If you dont get this, I'm sorry. Thanks for telling me why I care. Along with my involvement, many in my family build them. Their families depend on them. So yes, I have a vested interest. But thanks for clearing that up for me. Finally, thanks again for telling me how I'd feel if I worked for Chevy. What's it like knowing all you know? I told the guy who sold Chevy's I was proud of him. I am. I would like to see Ford and GM do well. Just one last question. How does owning a German Dodge give you a stake in this conversation?
  10. That's cool, John. If you ever get one in on trade, give me a ring. We sell every one we get our hands on. My friend, ever hear the saying about throwing stones and glass houses? You sell Chevrolets. I'm proud of you for that. However, Ford is going through the same thing GM did last year. You guys are fighting your way back. Ford will as well. I'm a Ford guy, but I dont HATE chevys. Chill bro
  11. Your heart is in the right place.
  12. I'm stuck with a Chase Rewards card. They cap the cash back option at 600 bucks a year. I would not recommend them.
  13. Look up abstract and my point might get a little more clear. Silly me, I should not have assumed he was anti ford when he called them "retarded" My bad, man.
  14. I love these abstract statements. Dont ever buy a Chevy! I saw a cavalier blow a head gasket this one time! I know a guy who has a friend who owns a Pontiac Sunfire and he has all kinds of problems. Don't ever buy a Pontiac either! I work for Ford. It's pretty easy to pile on. I hope GM gets through their problems, and as an American, I hope Ford get's through their issues as well.
  15. ^ I know it was a typo, but I laughed. I hate it when cars "pope"
  16. Nothing like accidentally having your speakers turned up in your office when that starts...
  17. 4.10 gears on a hwy patrol car?
  18. I'm familiar with advance guidelines on a buy. Leasing is a different animal. Since the banks give you a specific residual on a specific vehicle, they will not residualize 16k of YOUR negative equity. You will make the lease payments on the new vehicle on top of paying off ALL the neg. equity in the desired lease term. Sorry if we weren't on the same page.
  19. It's pretty tough to roll alot of negative equity into a lease. Most banks or manufacturers will not residualize much over sticker. I just think he bought a high dollar vehicle, maybe a shorter term lease, probably got hosed on the rate, probabaly paid a HUGE security deposit, put little money down and was on his way.
  20. ^Point Taken. I think if you put my question in context, however, you can get some valuable info. The point of the question is to throw them a slight curve. Don't you ever get tired of hearing the same "canned" answers to the same "canned" questions?
  21. Check this out. Most of these people are screwed, but there are some deals to be found. http://www.leasetrader.com Would you pimp an 03 Escalade for 179/mo for 4 months?
  22. My favorite interview question is, "What would you say if I told you this interview wasnt going well?" If they panic immediately, you know you have a potential problem. If they come up with a creative answer or even a sarcastic answer, I know I have a free thinker. In my line of work, being able to think on your toes and react to every situation in a seamless manner is critical. Great topic!
