The 3800 is an extremely reliable, cheap motor. However, I can't say I would have put it in a KE25.

Some of the cooler things it can do include distributor-less ignition, onboard map sensor (great for ITB conversions), anti-lag, complete custom harness or integration with a stock one, can control everything from fans to nitrous and meth, and the list of addons and applications is nearly endless. Its being used on lawn mowers, motorcycles, cars, boats, everything!

The numbers seemed pretty accurate for the MR2, about 29 mpg. Of course, it gets a lot worse than that when beating the shit out of it, but normal every day driving it does pretty well. One tank usually lasts me about 2 weeks, roughly $25 a tank for a fill of low octane.
